Root Cyanogen Mod 6 (Froyo) Released!!

Anybody else having issues trying to chage ringtone through the menu/sound. As soon as I try and open it up I get FC every time. I am on 6.0.2 and had the same issue with 6.0.1

BT audio is not quite perfect. I had several pauses in different songs in my car. Also there's a fc for the mail app, when not even using it.
After fixing the mail fc problem (I restored data only from a previous 6.0.1 install - I don't use the email app so it was just the default data) BT audio worked flawlessly all the way to work this morning.

I couldn't even get bluetooth to connect at all this morning . It would see my device but wouldn't connect. I flashed SR 3.0 Vanilla , we'll see if this ROM makes it more then 48hrs lol

are the rom addiction classes yet??

I was excited about this release but it seemed that most of the issues in the previous releases were still there, and the email fc wouldn't let me do anything hardly.

Just backup Email data from a previous 6.0.1 install, or find and reinstall the email.apk and that problem will be solved. A valid Email.apk was posted in the thread at xda forums.

EDIT - yes see post above me :)

There were only 2 problems with this release I have found so far and that was the email FC and led's arent working. EMail app was only force closing about twice an hour for me last night and after running fix permissions I have not seen it again. Nice to know there is another fix also.

LED notifications not working probably would have really bothered me in previous releases on top of all the other problems but I can honestly say at this point I don't really care. All the other amazing features completely outweigh the LED not working ;) And once they do get the LED working you will see there are some crazy cool options for it in the settings. Its gonna be nice.

I spent almost 3 hours last night just playing with all the color tweaks for the clock ,date, status bar, pull down etc. Tweaks that all come built right into the system. Its literally a playground.

If you haven't tried this ROM yet now is the time.

Who's still using this after a few days? Is it worth it to make the jump from 6.0.1?

I am still on it and I think I will be for a while. Its very good. My only real problem with it is it eats through the battery pretty quickly so you will be looking for an outlet mid day. Worth it IMO.

i'm still waiting on the new fixes to be implemented, like fixed LEDs and i'd really like to see emmc to mount properly. koush tweeted that he had some fixes coming were they in a recent nightly or is there gonna be a .3?

I was having random reboots with CM6 tried his nightly out friday and it was pretty much the same.
I could live with the small bugs it had but I can't do random shut downs and reboots

I haven't even been looking at the nightlies. I assumed it was going to be a .3 release.

9/5 nightly has LEDs fixed, but I'm sure there will be a .3 or higher including said fix eventually.

how is the 9/5 nightly, pretty stable?
i just installed the 9/5 nightly and i can confirm the LEDs do work. it stays lit and blinks if that makes sense, rather than just blinking.

I don't run them long term, I just flash them when I hear there's fixes, and then nandroid back.

It didn't crash the phone on a phone call, freeze on WiFi or anything like that in the hour of testing I did though. There are people on XDA that run nothing but the nightly builds though.

My phone won't vibrate on an incoming call when the phone is set to vibrate. It does vibrate however when the sound is turned on.

Not a problem on mine. Make sure you have the appropriate menu settings toggled.

my phone gave me crappy battery life the first flash... I did a nandroid then whiped davlik cache and it seems to have helped me alot... just an fyi if someone else is haveing this issue... I always do a wipe of the regular cache but this is the first time I did it to the davlik...
before I was getting about 10 hours to full battery with moderate use
today at 10 hours in I'm at 50% and I played angry birds for a while today which never helps a battery

Angry Birds!!!!!!!!! When did that come out!?

Doesnt open on my Dinc =(((

Also I wanted to mention I have been running 6.0.2 for a couple of days now without any real problem BUT I decided to backup and flash the newest nightly earlier tonight 0952010 because I wanted the fixed LED notifications.

Shortly after setting everything up I connected my Plantronics 590 headset, fired up the music player and headed out to mow the lawn. I got the back yard half way edged and suddenly the music stopped. Took my phone out and it was completely dead and wouldn't turn on. Finally had to do a battery pull to get it to reboot and at some point before it even turned back on it was dead again.

Eventually I had to do a battery pull and boot to recovery and restore my 6.0.2 backup. Been fine ever since....
