Root Cyanogen ROM question

Hi I'm very new to all the roms but been part of the site for a little while. Always been afraid to install a ROM an mess up my expensive phone. Anyways, I see that cyanogen has a ROM for LG optimus 2x, an also noticed that the phones look similiar. Now my question is can I use that ROM on the esteem or is it made for that phone only.

Honestly I dont even think it would let you flash it. Might throw up an error.

My very first experience with rooting was expensive. I too tried to use a ROM not specifically for my phone. Sent it into a continuous boot loop. LOL, scared me to death. Went & bought a new one & took my time to do it right after that. & with the help of some cool dudes on here got the old one working again.

Yeah every one here Is just amazing. I've been reading on this forum since Huawei ascend. That was my first android phone. Then I discovered this site. Love these forums.

Same. Some of us came from the ascend. And no roms that are made for a specific phone are only for that phone. Although some roms can be ported but it takes a lot of work, knowledge, and time.
