Root Cyanogen7 OR Gingerlike??

I would go with the cm7. I have only come encountered one bug, when you turn your screen off with power button it then try the power button to turn it back on its buggy to get back, What i do is just hold home button and it acts just like the power button to turn back on, After flashing to the cm7 rom go in settings then CyanogenMod settings then display, Uncheck screen off animation then your set to use home screen button to get screen back, It works for me,

Dont forget to flash the mms fix after your first boot after flashing cm7

cm7 comes with the most features but is still a bit buggy. we have some ironing out to do.
gingerlike is more stable with less functions. I would say go with what suits you the most when given such info
 
Yeah im sticking with cm7, even though I had a lot of bugs with it... but i wish that when i dial a number it shows the contact corresponding with that number, instead of going allll the way into the contacts and fishing it out lol

there is also "Go dialer"
 
Now who got their MMS working perfectly, cuz i need your help...desperately. It just kills me knowing there is something wrong with it lol
 
Since I never even heard of the other one and don't even see it on the forums here I'm gonna have to go with CM7.
 
I Perffer Gingerlike For the stability, the only thing i have had issue with is bluetooth pairing, I Renamed the BrcmBluetoothServices.apk to BrcmBluetoothServices.apk.bak and then rebooted and it worked so good luck I hope the cm7 is bugged out soon then I will go back to it for now i am patient. and greatfull to all who work on these roms for it makes us android people happy happy happy.:p:D:o
 
If you look far enough back through the all things rooted optimus m forums then you will find it i know because i went to cm7 for a will then had to serch for gingerlike by joindy. good luck give it a try.

the MMS from what i have learned is to be flashed after the first boot from flasing the cm7 rom, so flash the CM7 then boot then go through setup by pressing exit( keybord issues) then boot into recovery then flash the MMS Fix and reboot thats how it got working for me hope it helps.
