All this talk about wiping the battery stats it sounds like I might be screwing myself with the way I charge my phone.
I have a spare battery on the charger and when the one in the phone dies I just swap them. So I guess I must be screwing up my battery stats?
But that being said my standby time is 2+ days, it cuts down to like 1 day or less if I am using it for games or updating/installing apps, phone calls ect...
There are big chances yes since you go from mostly discharged/empty to full on another battery without any charge time in between. If you see too much of a drain even under normal usage try to wipe your stats between battery change.
The more cpu/gpu intensive use you do with the phone the more it drains. 2 days is quite in the normal range unless it's on the 2 battery cycle.

Are you guys seeing a microphone button on the Android keyboard? I thought 2.1 had voice input everywhere but don't see it on my keyboard. I'm using CM 5.08test4.
So I'm running the CM 5.0.8test4 for about a week now and am pretty happy with it. However I'd like to try some other ROMs now.
What are you guys running? How are other ROMs comparing to Cyanogen?
Also another question: would Nandroid restore my complete configuration? Or do I need to use Titan after that?
Testing other roms may mean changing radio just be aware of it before making your choice. I won't advocate any other rom in particular as they all have pros and cons. You should check on xda for a complete list of available roms.
I'm currently running Smoki 0.6.8 (6.35 radio rom) and i'm pretty happy about the speed. Never got a FC on it. Dev is also pro-active and working closely with other parteners.
Thanks, I'm aware of the potential radio issue. So far AFAIK Cyanogen and Smoki support radio that would let me to avoid being harassed by Rogers. Anything else?
Also could anybody please comment on my Nandroid question?

I just got a post E911 Dream from a friend and I have been following your guide: Rogers post E911 Magic to CM 5.0.7 (Android 2.1) with Dream E911 Radio The GreatBigDog Report
But it seems as though a couple of links are down, namel in steps number, 6 & 7
I am unsure how to proceed now.
If you can let me know that would be great.

The tricky part for rogers users has always been getting the 'right' version to keep data. Once you have copies of radios, hboot, and recovery for each, keep them safe for easy switching. I've been going back and forth hoping that new radio roms would be super stable but for now the old radio cyanogenmod and variants are still the best on our phones at least for my use. But I assume that the next official release will be for new radio so I have my routine ready to go.
Cool, I see here that v2 has been posted, gonna give it a try. Are you using the kernel in Step #2 of that thread or something else?
