Root CyanogenMod-6.1.2 and Data speed.

longshot

I had a rooted EVO with stock. When I did the fix here http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-tips-tricks/280082-major-solution-fix-your-slow-3g-speeds-evo4g.html
My speeds always stayed around .9mb to 1.5 when tested on Speakeasy or Speedtest.net. Updated my rom the CyanogenMOd 6.1.2 and now it averages around .4 to .5. Went back to stock and did the fix again speeds up to .9 to 1.5. Went back to CyanogenMod same thing slow speeds. What I am getting at is, I love the mod but not the slow data speeds. Is there anyway to do the fix I mentioned above in the link with the CyanogenMod?? thanks!

I found this

Q. How can I update PRL?
A. There currently is not a way to do it in Cyanogen Mod. You will need to restore a nandroid backup of a Sense ROM (you did make one, right?), update the PRL, then Nandroid back to CM6.

Which technically I did update the PRL so what I really just need is doing the fix I posted early not so much the PRL since mine is updated ok.

Q. How can I fix my 3g speeds on CM6

I did a restore of my previous backup I made when everything worked fine and had the proxies setup like I wanted, so it should work right?

Hmmm good question. I don't think so. Your prl and profile type info are not stored in a back up. I can only change that stuff by doing a ## code. If you did a wipe in between you'll have to do it again.

tried several times ran the nandroid restore and the proxie settings were still there like i left them. Went into recovery ran Cyanogen install from zip without clearing the nandroid restore. All Cynaogen is stays in a constant loop with the little blue android on the skate board with the circle going around it over and over. Once I pull battery and start over again but this time clear data then load Cyanogen it loads fine but slow data. Why would anyone want a mod that slows your data down to half the speed?

The ##Data# code does not work on the CyanogenMod. When you enter the code it does nothing. I would think there has to be some way to get into the proxie settings?? Thanks for the help :)

Oh also It came with PRL 60677.

Did this exactly how it says and it does not work. Loaded the rooted sense rom I originally had and tested 3g speeds constant .8 to 1.2 speeds compared to .2 - .3 speeds on the CyanogenMod. The Nandroid backup does keep the http proxy settings. Whatever they are in Cyanogen they just dont work for me.
