Root cyanogenmod 7 is freezing with camera use and browsing photoalbum

Ive been searching everywhere all I hear are complaints but no solution! This is really annoying. Anyone know what I could do?

Guess I hadn't heard of many having problems. You talking about CM7 stable with the supplied kernel? If so, what radio are you running with it? And you did a full wipe of data/cache/Dalvik I'm assuming?

Yep I am using tia kernel 4.0.4 CM7 Stable Radio 2.15 And I did a full wipe.

Sounds like other Tiamat kernel users are having the same issue. Try another kernel and see how it goes. I'm using the supplied kernel and have never had a camera issue FWIW.

whats a good kernal for the inc thats for performance and battery life? and where can I get it? sorry I am kind of new to rooting and I dont know where to get everything. Seems like all the rooting websites I have found are no longer around.

If I were going to go with anything other than Slayher's kernel (provided in CM7 download), I'd probably go with Chad's Incredikernel:

[KERNEL] 2.6.37.6-incredikernel-04/19/11 - xda-developers

The first one listed under the 4/19 heading. 2.6.37.6 for GB.

Recomend keeping it on smartass governer if you use SetCPU. Otherwise, just load and see how things go. Let us know if it solves your issues.
