Root [CyanogenMod-7 ROM+KERNEL] OM-Mandylion.....01-12-2013

The min. is where the phone idle's. The stock ROM's max. was 600MHz.

For most Gingerbread ROM's the best CPU setting is 480MHz min. and 768MHz max.

Thanks, tried these settings and saw quite a bit of an improvement in battery life!

3.0 devices are suppose to be backwards compatible, surprised you're having trouble with it unless the features you need to use are 3.0 specific. BTW, no 2.0 hardware will ever support 3.0 protocols because there are physical hardware changes with the transmitter/receiver electronics, so looking for a specific ROM that will provide 3.0 compatibility isn't going to happen with the V.

Thanks for the help, figured it out... I'm an idiot! ;) I was not doing all the steps with the device itself and thought I was. Anyway, now connected with my bluetooth and thanks again.

Next question. I'd like it that if I hit the top button that it would just turn off the screen instead of hanging up on the call. I have looked and looked and looked some more... Can anyone tell me where that option is for the top button ?

Curious if any updates will be coming down the road for this ROM? Current ROM is running great, but always enjoy getting updates when it fixes or improves on things.

I don't really think so. JerryScript has moved on to a different phone and is developing for it. He does have a family as well, so I can't imagine him having any free time to update this ROM.

LOL...this is the OM-Mandylion forum. As far as I know the OP is still active with this ROM. I've gave up on Backside back in December.

Although if I was to try out MiRaGe, can I use my existing SD card format? I needed to reformat my SD card with an ext3 partition before installing Mandylion.

Lolz @ Andy :p and yes your ext3 partition will work fine on Mirrage

Thanks for catching my Huge mistake.

bac22: Sorry.
Try and PM Dev.
He's working hard at making this ROM the best it can be.
The ZenGarden recovery will allow you to change the format of the partition from ext3 to ext.4 and back again to ext.3. So you can try and see which format works best for a particular ROM.
It shouldn't mess with the data on the SD cards main partition, but, backup data to computer just to be on the safe side.
Again....sorry for the thread delusion/mistake. This is a really good ROM.

Really enjoy this rom. Thank you!
..any way to make it so top button does not hang up on calls?
..is there a rom similar and lite like this for triumph?

Thanks again.

Where is gapps located ? I've installed this fresh and can't find it or playstore a bit confused.

Thank you!

Pretty sure, gapps are included with the rom.

Just F.Y.I. Right now the MiRaGe Rom is the best for our phone, very fast, and very stable. As well as the zengarden recovery. I'm not telling you what to run but most of the members that are left here are running MiRaGe rom.

Hey, once you flash Mandylion, you might become a flashoholic and then you can try other roms as well.

Unfortunately I don't believe so. I'm using OM-Mandylion-20130112.zip and I assure there is no google apps, play store, etc. I've flashed before and have been running Harmonia for about 1 year now. I've never run Mirage before though and honestly just wanted to see what if anything was improved on newer Roms for us.

This would be pretty nice (I love the internal storage space now without link2sd) but seriously no gapps, I even went to play.google.com to see (usually prompts asking if I want to use app or browser) this time went direct with browser without asking, so pretty sure no gapp =(

I also find it weird that it says DSPManager is running but I can't find that on my apps list either to edit it's settings :-/ I've further tried market:// extension and get an error in browser confirming no play store

It's there, I was using this ROM myself a few months ago and gapps is included with the ROM. Why you're not seeing it is odd though. You can download gapps from Google Apps - RootzWiki though. I beleive you want the package for CM7 (Android 2.3.7) (20110828)

If you guys read on the first page (tiny gapps are included) so you can't add gapps to it or it will bork everything up.

Besides there has been no development of this rom in quite sometime.

If it was me, i'd go with MiRaGe rom, you can run links 2 sd with it, plus it is still under development. Actually the thread for mirage is quite boring because you can't find anything wrong with the rom, it's that good!

Again ...tiny gapps ARE included with Mandylion, so if you flash gapps with it you will have problems!

Did you flash the kernel?, it states the 20130112 build doesn't come with the kernel.

I don't run a lot of apps, so i don't use links 2 sd and still have 145mb of internal space with MiRaGe.

I did install the additional VM760-OM-Kernel.zip when installing this Rom and everything seems to be running good but I can assure you no gapps :-/ Guess I'll move to mirage

Yea, good choice, at least for now. I don't know why the dev hasn't been around to update anything, must have moved on to something else?

He sure developed a heck of a great recovery in zengarden.
