I have flashed CM7 7.1.0-RC1 and I know I will have a bunch of questions to ask throughout my experience with this ROM, so I created this thread for everyone to discuss, share themes, MODs, settings, etc, for the best results :)

Out of curiosity:

1. Which version are you using at the moment?

2. Which theme are you using?

Which launcher are you using?

I don't like CM atm, I'm trying to think of a reason to like it but I'm tempted to flash back to something else. I only flashed CM in the first place because so many people were saying its good
 
Im on nightly 140 something, with lordmod ue 6.3 and the killersloth_UV script. I'm using a sense clone theme and LPP as my launcher.

I guess I like CM because its the fastest and most customisable one I have used. Sure, it lacks a lot of the inbuilt features of sense, but that just means I can replace them with my choice of app (usually superior ones too).

Go Launcher. I used that because it was free. ADW or LPP are probably better, but I've spent a while getting this sorted to my needs so I don't see the point in changing.
 
I used LauncherPro but flashing a Sense ROM now, can't get used to CM. So I'll be on Virtuous Unity until I start cooking my ROM.

I do love the high brightness in the CM torch lol

Just out of curiosity I'm using the radio "26.03.02.26_M". sorry the whole thing is:

12.28b.60.140eP_26.3.02.26_M

will i benefit from using a more up to date radio?

Always best to match a radio to ROM. There's no harm in not doing it, it's just better if you do.

It brings thing like improved battery life, better reception, better WiFi etc.
 
There's no need to, unless you're having problems. But we rooted our phones to get the very best experience with them, so I would recommend it if you feel confident flashing one.
 
Be very careful when doing so tho, as one small mistake could brick your phone. It's very simple tho so the chances are very small
