Does anyone know if you are REQUIRED to have Virgin Mobile service to use the phone, or if you can use it without any cell provider (kind of like an iPod Touch - a device without cell radios)?

Yes, you can use it with WiFi only. You just will not have access to SMS/MMS or voice (without some work arounds).

Yea! Got a triumph for $120 + tax !!!
That is less than I paid for my first Optimus V...regretfully, I already bought a replacement Optimus V from Target... Guess I'm going to return it.

I think it is great that they have it in case you are not happy with your decision. It makes a device change decision a bit easier knowing you can return it and switch back to the old device without losing a nice bit of cash.

You just have to have patience and wait for the next big sale to come around(might not be till next cyber Monday,but a big sale is coming).
