the only good thing about it is that you can get games or aps free of charge rather than paying for them.
it would be great to have an equivalent to Cydia on android though.
IOS > Android because of simplicity, popularity (who doesn't have an iPhone. Everyone on TV has one and the president wanted an iPhone but isn't allowed), minimalistics, and apple in general is more focused on all aspects of how you use the device (unlike Samsung who just throws in random features people may not use like smart scrolling)
IOS is only down on customizable factors (oh wait you can jailbreak)
On top of iPhone being more simplistic, their more customizable as well because cydia is the most easy, straightforward, app store for tweaks, themes, and addons as well)
Let's face it people, no one in the normal world involved in society would know how or what rooting is. I know the same goes for jailbreaking as well since its a geeky thing but not one person I know with android has even heard of that. Rant over, bye
- coming from someone who owns a galaxy s4 and jailbroken ipod touch 5g

Be smarter than the collection of plastic, metal, and silicone in your hand that can only add.

Rooting=hard?
Thanks for the laugh.
Flash cwm via fastboot in the android sdk or odin.
Flash rom, boom, done.
Doesn't anyone remeber how to use dos promts anymore [fastboot, htc/Motorola]
Or how to click a button and select a file and press start [odin, samsung]

Rant done
...rooting = hard, of course not.
(brought it back to life though and its rooted and fine) but someone with less experience would have thrown it in the bin. ^ this.
All root is equal but some root is more equal than others.
The differences in rooting methods still vary wildly as i learned just the other night with my wifes "new" phone (and promptly soft bricked it)(brought it back to life though and its rooted and fine) but someone with less experience would have thrown it in the bin.
Point is, its only "easy" when you fully understand whats happening and know how to swim your way out of the creek when it goes wrong
Indeed.
I have soft bricked ever phone I have owned, except for my note ii.
First time I did not have a backup and thus no internet to download another rom to flash lol.
and as for diffrent methods. Thats why I stick to trusty samsung.
Odin flash cwm, flash rom.

Ever tried to root or ROM a Samsung Galaxy Win GT-i8552? - sometimes known as a Grand Quattro.

Stealing something isn't good, it's wrong.
No it wouldn't, it would just result in every decent developer relying on ads or in-game microtransactions to pay their bills. I don't work for free, I'm sure you don't either, so why should app developers?
it is there to be used. whether its right or wrong its not for me to judge.
It is developers that have made Cydia availble or others like it.
im sure there are plenty out there that "steal" online films, or music. it is the same. it is something that one cannot prevent others to use it. it is there to be used. whether its right or wrong its not for me to judge.
im sorry if my comment offended you in anyway.
all the best in your work )
...which is very likely where much of the Cydia stuff comes from, along with Russia. The way I look at it... cydia allow apple's iOS to be more like android. Your rooted evo is like cydia on steroids - only without the roid rage...
