Root D2 Bootstrap and GB

Just got GB this morning and have the .apk for D2 Bootstrap. How do i put this file onto my phone to get it to be the application so I am able to run bootstrap?

Just put it on your SD card then use file explorer on the phone to navigate to the file and install it. If you haven't already allowed non-market apps it will prompt you to do so.

Been a while since I've been out here and trying to catch up this morning... is this saying to should use the Droid 2 Bootstrap and not the Droid X Bootstrap to install the GB ROM?

Install with dx bootstrap recovery but once you make the transition to gb for now only d2 recovery will work
