Cool except this it the Bionic forum, the link is for the Droid Four.
Just saying it's uncool to post a new thread with the title of "Droid4 ICS soak test" in the Bionic forum when the new and locked leak .238 just came out on Friday.
When I first saw this post I immediately thought about going ahead and flashing it but luckily I reread the post and went to the link and saw it was for the Droid 4 not the Bionic.
IDK, I just expect to see posts about the Bionic, not the Droid 4 in the Bionic forum. We have distracted driving, we even have distracted walking. This post proves there is now distracted foruming.
What part of Droid 4 ICS soak test did you not see in the title? What part of Droid 4 Soak Test Set To Begin... did you not see in the link?
I'm sorry if your shared frustration over the rollout of ICS for our Bionic caused you to misinterpret my post. I'll make sure to be more clear next time.![]()
I'm just saying ICS is Android version 4 so when I saw Droid 4 ICS Soak Test in the Bionic forum 3 days after the latest leak .238 gets into the wild I just assumed it was talking about a Android version 4 ICS soak test for the Bionic.
Please don't.
Perhaps Dabrador will just change the title of his original message.

Done...the thread title should be a bit more clear now.
OK ... everybody take a deep breath ...
What the article said was that Motorola was inviting people to participate in the soak test that will probably be ICS.
When 5.9.905 about to come out I was invited to participate in the soak test and I then did participate.
The soak test started a little more than a month after I was invited.
The OTA was released to everyone one week after the soak test started.
You cannot accurately predict anything about when one of these releases will come out. All you can do is wait.

I think the OP's point was that a phone which was released much much later than the Bionic is getting it's upgrade ahead of the Bionic.
I think it does have a bad look to it as far as public relations go. If Motorola is having some sort of difficulty with the ICS for Bionic, then they need to be communicating with their customers.

Then I guess Verizon really does think they have too many customers. Something tells me in about a year I will be helping them with that problem of theirs.Motorola and the Bionics ability to run ICS has nothing to do with it, this is all Verizon's decision.
Droid 4 is a newer phone and still being sold by Verizon (Bionic is no longer available in their online store) so why wouldn't it get ICS before the Bionic?
I would also suspect the Droid 4 will be the oldest phone that Verizon will eventually let be upgraded to JB for the same reason.
Though the Bionic is perfectly capable of running it, Verizon will be wanting owners of the older Bionic to upgrade and give up those unlimited data plans. Hope I'm wrong though.![]()

I could be wrong and we all get JB six or seven months down the road but that would be so unlike them, we can all keep our fingers crossed but.....

Well, it's not Jelly Bean. Honestly, I can't be upset if we don't get JB. But they used the fact that the Bionic would be upgraded, and they didn't say possibly, they said it would for a fact, to ICS was one of the selling points of the Bionic to me.
