Root Damaged USB Port; Need to UnRoot for Repairs

OK, so my USB port on my HTC EVO 4G is damaged which obviously won't let me charge or connect to my computer. My family all have this same phone, so I can get a fully charged battery from one of them to unroot my phone, otherwise Sprint won't repair it. How can I unroot my phone without it being connected by USB to my computer? It's been a while (couple years) since I rooted it and I am unfamiliar with the process. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

As far as Sprint refusing to repair it due to being rooted, rest assured, they will not care. Their policy towards rooted phones is relaxed and they will do what they need to do, to repair it. But with your usb port being broke, you will be fine to stay rooted.
However if you desire to unroot, it may be a little tricky with a broken usb port. But we would need to know a couple things.....:)
1. Do you remember how you rooted.
2. Post back here what your bootloader screen says.

I will also move your thread to the "All things Root" section k?:)

I was wondering if he could at least mostly unroot. I figure without a USB port he could at least run a PC36IMG <---(is that right for evo 4g?) version of the RUU to return to stock. Then the only thing would be whether or not the secure flag could be written to s-on again without usb? Unless it's possible to do it through terminal emulator? Would be interested to find out about that.

OK, well this more or less resolves my issue. I took the phone into my local Sprint store and they informed me that I had to unroot it before they could fix it. However, maybe it was just that stores policy or maybe someone was having a bad day. If I can send it in rooted and get it fixed, and get it back rooted, I would much rather do that than go through the apparent hassle of unrooting it without a USB port :)

Thanks!

Thanks for your help, I'll most assuredly return to this thread if for some reason they won't repair my rooted phone.

@Mogus---here is Sprint's Policy about rooted phones:

And a comical story about a person bringing a rooted phone in for repairs:

I think you got a grumpy person to take care of you, but they should either fix it, or they may offer you a refurb.

@Brian706
Depending on his original method of rooting, yes, a PC36IMG ruu may be the way to go if he is unlocked, s-on....or fully s-off...and if he is fully s-off, then we need to see his bootloader version. :)

I really gotta brush up on my "how to" about unrooting....I know Ocnbrze has a few unroot guides here.. I just have to re-read them :D

Yes so like mikey said you do not need to unroot it. You can even use the example that mikey linked. The Sprint tech that I got to does not care.

As far as unrooting it, at will need to know what your hboot is. Then we can point you in the right directions.

edit: forgot you have no usb. I would just run a ruu, but we will need to know what your hboot and radio is. This will give you stock rom and recovery.
