Damageless ROM?!

So apparently damageless is saying he has it fully working. I was just about to reflash it because I thought I was having an SMS problem and flashed a nandroid of 2.1 before I remembered back up this ROM (I wasn't it was a payment issue) but now I'm gonna wait to see what happens.
EDIT: Apparently he's uploading it now, I can't wait to tear this ROM up!
God, I'm F5ing every 10 seconds, this is like christmas eve as a 10 year old again.
Apparently he got a hold of the Sprint 2.1. He said it should be up in about 10 minutes. I'm not freaking sleeping tonight.

For this ROM, and without having to read through all bagillion pages of the thread, are there BT issues?
I'm trying to 1) find out if the Hero will support BT GPS 2) figure out if it's just an issue with this ROM that I'm having.
I can pair with my BT GPS but will show up as not connected....
Anyone know for sure?

the same exact way you flashed to fresh 2.0d (wipe data, then flash zip). However, I suggest waiting until tomorrow or saturday as there is an update coming from Damageless Friday.
Or, you could just go with 2.07.2 like you plan and use the built in updater when the update comes through, up to you.

Damageless mentioned it on XDA earlier today. He's working with "TrevE" on the ROM now, and the update should contain quite a few fixes and tweaks:

Nope, not at all. That quote in my post above is the last thing that Damageless has said, and pretty much the only thing that was mentioned on the upcoming update

Has anybody used the dc updater for other builds? Is it an auto upgrade tool? how well does it work?

I used it to go from 2.06 to 2.07.2 (I think. I know I used it for something lol), worked like a charm. I'll probably use it to go from 2.07.2 to the next version if it ever gets put up lol
tatonka - is this updater pretty much automatic? Do we have to do anything other than "check for updates"?
I just ran mine....no updates found.

IIRC, you have to check for updates (or it checks periodically as well I believe), and then you can either have it download it to your card for you and allow you to install it later, or download and install it for you

Used it last night to go from 2.07 to 2.08, worked like a champ.
2.08 seems a lot faster/smoother so far....and havent stumbled onto any bugs yet. Really liking this ROM so far!

Agree with everything you said. Don't really use facebook that much but friend stream is pretty cool.
I'm having two issues with my phone since I loaded this ROM.
Let me pre-emptively say that 2.08 is the first version of DamageControl that I've tried. Just rooted and everything last night.
The ROM loaded fine, the phone works great. Just need to figure out a couple of fixes.
1. The Superuser Permissions program just flat out won't work. Everytime I try to run it, I get the title bar across the top, a black screen, and eventually a not responding/force close message.
2. When my phone was stock, my contacts under people would link to their facebooks so that it loaded their photo and recent updates. It won't do this now and if I try to manually do it, it doesn't show any facebook contacts to link to, I have the sync set up on both.
Any ideas?

1. Make sure usb debugging is on For the su app.
2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the face book app
Debug was off so issue #1 solved.
Not sure how I can uninstall facebook, its FB for HTC Sense and came in the ROM. Doesn't have an uninstall button.

Glad the debug thing helped
The facebook sync is an issue, I think that happens with these roms. I will look for a link where they spoke about it and repost. I run fresh, so I don't know if it will be the same with damage rom.
