Root Dark Edge Released

I really don't understand what the big deal is about this theme. I would much rather have SG, nextheme or even vanilla over dark edge. People seem to be acting like this is the greatest thing ever. Can someone explain this to me?
 
to me it looks clean and not crazy colorful or maybe its just different. i dunno but im a fan.

to obutto: went to the partitions in recovery and wiped everything (boot, system, data, and cache manually x3), installed bb, logged in and then rebooted into recover again and installed darkedge.

This is a very clean setup. To each their own, but IDK of any themes out there that make everything black, including Gmail screen for instance.
 
Its a really nice theme. I admit, other themes run "smoother". But sometimes, I just get sick of looking at really colorful themes/stock. This theme, however, just seems a lot more "clean-cut" and sophisticated.

When BB v1.0 comes out, I think I'll go back to stock. But for now, its fun running this theme. It functions okay for the most part, I just want change.
 
ended up jumping from nexbeast doing a full wipe and then installing this theme.

even with the stock 600mhz kernel i swear its almost as fast as an incredible stock.

BBv1.0 is out and has been for like a week FYI.

About the theme, I love it. I can't think of any theme that is as intricate as this one. Between all my Android phones I've had there has never been anything as well done as this on such a deep level of the OS.
 
I tried it last night. It did not work very well for me. Lots of FC and stuff like that. I guess I could do a wipe but just dose not seem worth it too me. Too each his own I guess.

This theme cosmetically changes the OS in its entirety. For definite results, download the steam rom (or any ese 81 I guess) either stock or with smoked glass, then download dark edge thru rom manager from mr. Bobowitz (hope I didn't mess that up) on top of that rom without wiping anything. It should be smooth and fast. Its very different and clean, which I imagine is the attraction. I like it, but I like bbv1 with nextheme more personally.

I personally haven't tried it but I've heard from the people that have that it works for a little and then everything starts to force close.... which sucks because I really want the performance of BB with the looks of darkedge. It'll come soon enough though
 
I'm using the Bekit 1ghz kernel that you choose when downloading BBV1 in Rom Manager. Battery life is great, really everything is fine performance wise. The only kinks are a few graphical bugs like the strobe light effect with the pull down notification bar.

Do you have lwp working. I have tried everything but most of them FC.
 
I just installed this today over the Team Chaos rom. I am very impressed so far and have had no problems so far. Has anybody seen a WW donate skin to match this yet?
