Xda has done it again new dark market flashable in recovery here

This is not compatible with all roms so like always backup prior to flashing.

I uninstalled my current market via titanium and flashed. Looks great. Thunderbolt is third link in the op for those who don't like to read

If that doesn't work for you here is another themed market, I believe this one will show up in the app drawer as "Black Market"

I had issues with the black market posted on rootzwiki. I flashed it and lost my market altogether. I'm gona make a back up and try this one

reading through that thread, aparently the OP stripped the apk and it doesn't include an app drawer icon? What kind of shit is that??

Not sure which one was on rootzwiki this flashed fine on my phone. I tried messing with the d1 and dx zips yesterday and lost my market. It says to remove any updates prior to the flash I couldn't figure out how to so I just removed the market.
 
Oh really? That's strange. Did you have the new market installed prior or the old one? BTW, do you have a "black market" app in your app drawer or is there none at all like the poster on the xda thread eluded to?

also, do you have the movies tab in your market? I don't, but was under the impression the new market included that

It is under "dark market" in my app drawer black market has been used by several warez apps. You can see in the ss I posted in post 2 and yeah movies is still there but if you are rooted you can't watch any just pay for them
 
Yea, I realized after I posted that you had a screenie with the movies up. That's weird, definitely no movies tab on mine. I'm gona try flashing the dark market
 
Eff you,dark market,I give up :mad: I copied vending from system/app and pasted it on my SD card. Then I deleted vending from system/app.

Flashed the zip.nothing.installed market back in system app,flashed the zip. Still nothing. Checked for updates in market,none. Flashed zip again - nothing.

What am I missing,here? :confused

I actually uninstalled the market via titanium before the flash. It could be a rom thing too I am running thunderbread but like the post over at xda said it is a generic apk

I tried manually pushing it to system/app yesterday with no luck
 
I just uninstalled the black market (vending.apk) and flashed the dark market and still no movies tab. I don't get it at all. People on rootz have confirmed they have a movies tab as well. Maybe it's OMFGB?

Yeah in thinking it is a rom issue. Does the new market have a movies tab for you with the stock apk?
 
I'm thinking it def is a ROM issue because the newest OMFGB nightly I'm running still has the old market. I hated the way it looked stock so I never added the new one
 
Yeah im thinking thunderbread has the new market stock. Hopefully with this out there it will find its way into roms stock and not have to be an addon
 
Well Liquid 7 includes gapps with his ROM. I'm wondering if CM7 users are having the same problem. The most recent flashable gapps is from June, which was pre updated market so it makes sense
 
Yeah could be but since you can't watch movies anyways thanks to google and/or content owners being afraid of root does it really matter?
 
No, it doesn't matter at all, lol. I just feel like I'm missing something, but we all are. I just can't see what I'm missing
 
Might be better that way. So looks like this zip also wont work with gingeritis 1.2, just removes the market. If I recall correctly it has the market stock so it has to be a rom thing.
