I had to switch to CDMA only to get connection as well.

How do you do this![]()
menu>settings>wireless & networks>mobile networks>network mode>CDMA Only

Pretty much the same thing in NYC for a few weeks now. Data will just turn on/off and switch between 1x, 3G and 4G. It used to be 4G 95% of the time and the rest 1x or no coverage. Rarely would I see 3G.On the west Arizona valley (outskirts of metro Phoenix) where we finally got 4G earlier this year it sure has been intermittent.
Especially where I work.
It will intermittently lose ALL internet connectivity, not even showing a 1X in the display. Occasionally it will just go to 1X.
When it does this sometimes it doesn't want to go back to 3G or 4G.
During these times if I try to disable the mobile connection it just sort of hangs there with that menu grayed out.
I figured out that if I switch on the airplane mode and wait a few seconds for it to disable everything, that I can then turn airplane mode back off and usually get the internet connection back.
When I am at home or driving around I usually stay on 4G and can watch videos, etc no problem. In Phoenix it seems to be fine.
I think half of my problem at work is all the steel, concrete and massive amounts of electrical going on around me.![]()
