Root Data Governor Remover

booted right up on stock f. now i need a large file to d/l to try it out. i am on $40 plan so i think i only get 500mb
 
Correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't the throttling controlled by metro on their servers? Then how would installing this mod make any difference?

I think throttle is being used too loosely.. This doesn't control data throttling, what it does is keep you at a peaked connection. When you're downloading and you reach a peak this will keep you at that highest point to increase download speeds.

I see, so at the point that you are over your data limit than it will still be throttled?
 
This is the supposed throttle removal thing for the lg connect. It doesn't work. PG explained it already. Throttling is on the server side of things, not the phone. Nothing you can do to the phone will stop metro from throttling your 4G.

Edit: let's say you are excessive with data or reach the top of your data and metro throttles you to 150kb/s, this may work to keep you at 150kb/s instead of it fluctuating, but it certainly isn't going to get you back up to 8mb/s.. It's just not possible on the phone itself.
 
I think all they're claiming is that you will get the maximum speed possible on your phone.. not that it will override Metro Throttling.. Essentially, I believe, it manages your receive buffer in such a way that you get maximum download speed

Are you sure? Cuz after 7 gig I till get speed around 1MB per..

Heres my results. Pre your services.jar--.49mbps. After putting yours in ---2.24. Still crap but much better. Now questions. I used j rumnys root browser and ir gave me the option to over write existing file so i did. See any harm in that? What else might i try? Im stock except for the gt freedom kernel. On metros unlimited 4g plan.
 
Could someone please upload the default services.jar for stock f because when i tried the mod it made my data way slower and I really don't want to have to restore all of my apps and everything just to get that file back.
