Data on/off

Anyone use an app called "DataSwitch". Its supposed to be able to turn off 3G and save battery. Im checking it out now.

If you have switchpro you can put a mobile days on/off switch on your widget which would do the same thing. Might I ask what you're doing that's so taxing on your battery that you're turning off data to conserve it?

I like "DataSwitch" more because it turns data on or off with just one tap, not going thru a few steps. And I have it set up to turn on or off using a swipe gesture in my dock with Launcher Pro.

I just like getting 2 days out of my battery.

Nothing wrong with that! I've never used anything to toggle 3G on and off because I'm almost always near a charger but I think I will install for those few times that I'm not. It is inconvenient to have to go out to my car and leave my phone charging.

OK...so before I uninstall this thing, let me ask you. I push the icon for Dataswitch and nothing happens. I looked up at 3G and it was going strong. So is this thing working for me or am I just pushing a button for the fun of it?

Are you running stock? It might not work with GB yet.

My battery is going on 2 days 4 hours and is at 47% remaining so far with moderate use. This is the longest it ever lasted. I just playing with this app because sometimes I need my battery to last when Im not near a charger. I will only use it when needed.
