DATA Roaming question.

Does having data roaming check kill battery? Just wondering because when I updated my prl it checked itself.

Have always had it checked here(habit)-not sure if it is beneficial or not.
At least I know I "won't incur additional charges";)
 
No but having the system select chosen correctly helps. Or so Ive heard. I've always been told to keep it on automatic so that when you run into no service it doesnt search for a signal, which would eat battery. Where as if Metro PCS is chosen and you run into no service, it constantly searches for a signal until it regains signal back.
