Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Well, after waiting as long as I could, I finally ordered my Incredible today. In fact, I ordered two, one for me and one for my wife. It will be her first smart phone and a real upgrade from her Razr... And surely a test of patience for me as I teach her about it.

Based on what the Verizon site says today, it should ship by 7/20. I find I enjoy being in denial, so I'm going to hope Verizon gets in a huge shipment soon and it ships before the end of the month.

Day one, I root and install Barnacle or whatever the hot wi-fi tethering app is by then.

can i ask fed ex to hold the package for less than a week?

I think they hold attempted deliveries for a week... you have to take the paper they leave to fed ex to get your package. I'd call them to see their exact holding policy.

so if i attach a note saying for them to hold it until next tuesday they can do tht? or should i let them make an attempt and then call them... and thanks for all the help btw

Due to the fact that a lot of times people don't pay attention fully I would let them make the attempt (otherwise they might see the note and just 'assume' its a signature release) first. Just my opinion though. If you know your fedex person due to frequent deliveries it might be a different story. (Our delivery people are very nice but dumb as rocks - they like to leave stuff on the porch even in the rain).

If wishes were fishes we'd all cast a net! Welcome to the club. Be advised that day by day you will lose your mind while waiting for your phone. I glean some comfort reading posts from those that made it though to the other side. The wait though painful seems to be worth it.

Just talked to verizon CSR today and she said they are getting a huge order of the Incrediable's on the 23rd-24th so the 6/3 and 6/4 should be covered and they better get mine out I have been with them for over 10 years and have never been late on a bill. I have bad AIGS and this is the longest I have ever waited for a phone.

I'm a 6/2 and i constantly call CS to bug them about my shipment. I guess i do have AIGS... Today i called with good hopes because I noticed 6/1ers are getting shipment notifications. The CSR said that he didn't see a tracking number but the ship date was 6/23. I distinctly remember the girl at the verizon store saying 6/19. whatevs

Has anyone gotten a "you order has shiped" E-Mail today? I'm a 6/3 order shipped by 6/24 person and am getting antsy!

I leave for vacation on the 24th and need my phone (tired of my Storm)
I had the phone shipped to work but sure hope it arrives early.

I am a 6/3 as well with a delivery of 6/24. I was told by CSR this morning that it would not SHIP till the 24th and arrive on the 25th. Stopped in to VZ store this afternoon and talked to rep who had ordered an incredible, and had a ship date of the 17th. He got it on the 18th and received his "shipping email" with tracking information this morning. I kinda looked at him funny and he showed me the email and we looked up the tracking number. I am not expecting to get mine till Friday or Monday...

They gave me an original ship date of July 12th with a received date by the 19th at the latest.

It doesn't for me and the CSR told me that it wouldn't come up even if it did ship.

I'm with ya on that. I ordered 6/2 at night so it didn't get processed til the 3rd. Every VZ Rep has no clue what they are talking about. I called when I ordered mine and was told I would get it by 6/14 but I knew he was pretty full of it considering it said 6/24! We can all hope though!
