Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Ordered: 6/1 in-store
Promised: 6/22

I have no tracking number. Called FedEx. They can check by address. They have no package for me. Verizon better ship this thing tomorrow (the promised ship date)otherwise I'm gonna be raising hell in my verizon store. I'm so tired of waiting...:mad:
On the upside, I have 2 Seidio Innocases ready to go when the Dincs arrive. They got here today.
 
Good God, where the hell is my phone?? I especially want it now that Slingplayer Mobile was released for the Android! (*sigh*)... Realistically I've got about a week to go before it's even shipped. :(
 
There is nothing wrong with being over the age of ummm 18 and acting like a 13 year old... we are all allowed to get excited about something every now and then. I just got a DSLR Camera the other day and I am OCD about youtube videos on the Inc and the camera... I was alternating all weekend...

I am a 6/2 with a ship by of 6/23. The days don't go by fast enough! I have already given my daughter instructions that if it comes and I am not home, she is to promptly take it out of the box and plug that bad boy in cuz mama wants to play when she get's home!!!!!!!

Between the wife, kids and work.. some of us need this type of thing as a distraction and an excuse to act 13 again.. ahhh.. I feel alive!!
 
Okay so as we all know, I ordered 6/2 with a promised ship date of 6/23 and as of this post's time, I have no email with tracking info.

If this tracking info does not come by tomorrow night, Verizon better not pick up the phone when I call. :D

On a good note everyone, I ordered my ZAGG phone protector and ZAGGskin on Sunday. So this should be arriving close to my Dinc.
 
Good luck to those who have ship dates of 6/22, I'm jealous :D and cant wait for my turn to come up on 6/28, I hope!
 
Ugh... this has felt like the longest 15 days of my life since ordering on 6/7. I am (im)patiently waiting for an email notification, a Fedex truck, anything, and there's still another week to go! Thank God I have all of you to commiserate with.... :)
 
Seems like orders have backed up?? 2-3 days early, slammed on the brakes, all running into each other!! Having said that, 5/30, 5/31, 6/1 was 3 day holiday wknd which likely ended w/ a huge influx of orders.
 
Actually, as I have said before, there is a certain amount of satisfaction gained by harassing the VZW reps, and once you realize that aside from wasting some time in doing so, collecting the wide range of answers is almost ....well.... fun. (in a sick, somewhat demented sort of way...but isn't that why most of us are here?) It's like catching butterflies... no two are ever the same...some are small and dull, others are wildly colorful. The diversity of VZW's answers appears to be limitless!

...not to say I wouldn't trade my net in for a VZW shipping email...:D

I had to laugh, I called the other day to find out how Verizon could bill my credit card the day I purchased and yet not ship for a month or whenever telling him that I have never had a backorder billed until the item was shipped. He said it happens all the time, "they do it with hotel rooms" I told him that a hotel room charge was just a hold and you were not charged until you failed to show up ( or showed up). He then told me they did it for the customers benefit so that we did not have to wait for a phone only to find our our credit cards had been maxed out and we would not get the phone. I then asked him if Verizon was in the business of financial planning. He asked me "what".
I told him further that the policy of most CC companies is that the vender not allowed to charge the customer until the item is shipped. He then told me is was sort of a waiting list. I said that I am purchasing something with the promise that it might come some day? That I theoretically could be paying credit card interest on an item I might not have received. He really did not have much to say. I was laughed out loud when he told me that they were doing it for our protection so that we could be sure we had money available when the phone came in.
I talked to another rep who told me that they took the payment immediately because there was such a high demand for the phone they did not want people backing out and hurting the next person in line. I asked him why not just pass the phone on to the next person in line if the original purchaser backed out (which would be easy since the phone is in such high demand). He said their billing system was not set up that way.
They told me it was in the agreement when I purchased it on line. I told him I ordered it via a phone call and at that time nobody told me my credit card would be charged immediately.
It seems they have quite a deal going on there. Even if you cancel the order you have to wait for the phone to arrive and then send it back and wait for a credit before you order a different model. They have you any way you look at it when you make the original order. You are stuck until the phone gets there so I guess you just have to sit back and wait. You have recourse with the Fair Credit Billing Actif you don't receive the item in 30 days but that gets us right back where we started. I can't help but think Verizon had this all planned out before they started taking orders.

BTW orderd June 7 and still waiting, no word on shipping other than scheduled on June 28.
 
by the looks of it either there hasn't been a whole lot shipping today OR those people who did have shipments go have not found our happy little thread yet

Yes I noticed that there has not been getting shipping notices or tracking info...so hopefully today will be a very productive shipping day and we will see some really good feedback tonight....

I agree, i'm spending most of the work day trying to find out whether my phone is coming this week. I'm a 6/5 'r and I have a feeling the days after I get my phone will be much more productive than the days before it!

LMAO!! That is exactly what I do and how I feel after I don't see any feedback from folks! Come on, Verizon.... Quit torturing us!!

after accidentally discovering the Incredible way back in the beginning while doing research on other phones...and like everyone else, desperately awaiting the latest leaks on the pre-release threads (Blurry pics! Photoshopped mockups! Blurry videos! OWNER'S MANUAL!) I then had to bide my time due to other financial obligations...

Well no more...after months of waiting, and reading the threads, and watching every stupid video about this phone, I am in the clear and have finally ordered the damn thing.

So I get to jump into the fray and say...

Est. Ship Date 07.20.10
Location-Bethesda, MD.

I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for supporting my habit. :)

Sidenote-Had a problem with online ordering, screwed up my NE2...talked to a phone rep who fixed it immediately, and with a smile in her voice. They're out there folks...just treat 'em nice, and you get it back.

Now the wait continues, but with a somewhat brighter light at the end of the tunnel....

You've got a loooooooong way to go. It's only 28 days.. but It'll feel like 280 days. Ask any one of us, I'm sure I speak for everyone.

::laugh:: Yeah...it's kinda like getting in line at an amusement park and hoping at least someone gets in line behind you, just so you're not last.

Like I said...at least I'm not alone. :)
 
I glad I am not last anymore , lol just hope they soon shipp some out cuz there are a few dates still ahead of me mines 6/8 and suppose to have at the very, very latest 7/1 . If I dont receive it by then plan B will take affect :p

I have to agree - when I called to order mine the guy I had on the phone was the best rep I have ever talked to. He even gave me the tip to order myself so I would pay less up front - BUT he stayed on the phone while I ordered, in case I had any questions, and I did. Lol.
I will say this though - IF I don't have shipping info by the end of the day on the 24th there will be HELL to pay!

Looking like the 2-3 days ahead of schedule are over. Kind of a Bummer, I have a ship by date of 6/28, was kind of hopeful I would get it friday, but not looking promising. Actually from last thursday till yesterday, seems like they have made very little progress as far as order dates go, Its like they have been stuck on 6/1 dates.
 
Just giving an update: Ordered over the phone on 5/31 and was given a ship by date of 6/22, and so far I have not received any shipping notifications.

I will say this though - IF I don't have shipping info by the end of the day on the 24th there will be HELL to pay!

A 6/4'er here and if I don't have shipping info by the end of the day on the 25th I am sure this is what I will be doing....lololol!
