Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Order date 5/10 and I received it today about an hour ago. Verizon gave me no heads up on the shipping even though I call a bajillion times. Thankfully I was off from work today.
 
I don't think time of order matters too much

I ordered on the 12th in the evening hours (11pm) and the order was put as a 13th order date. No shipping notification yet

Seems to be more based on location than order time. I'm West coast (Seattle) and orders from East coast (Maryland) are going out first. So rely on that ahead of time of day ordered, or even wiggle room around the exact day too

I only know because I live in the LA metro area, which is where Ontario, CA is located. I have no idea why phones are being sent from seemingly random sites. But I guess I won't complain -- I just want my phone.

FWIW, Ontario is a province in Canada. So even if you got a package shipped from there, it would be from [city], Ontario, Canada.
 
Never ordering in the store again since all shipping seems faster for online orders. I talked to a rep today because it's the only way I will find out if my phone has shipped. They automatically start spewing out the ship by dates even though I didn't ask about it because the info is more accurate on the forums. I was also told that that phones should ship next day but are shiping 2nd day instead because there are so many back orders. I had to laugh at this too because my receipt clearly says 2nd day on it.

Who needs TV drama when you have this thread!

Does anyone know the shipping dates the California warehouse is at? That's where mine is coming from says Verizon.

Just have them deliver it to your work. That's what I'm doing. That way the receptionist is there all day to sign for it.

Order situation same as me. I think I ordered about 8PM. Orders after 4 PM count as the next day which isn't the best. :/

I am on the east coast thought so maybe that will help me out.
 
I just received my shipping notification from VZW for my replacement Inc. Ordered late evening on 5/12. Shipping Fedex standard overnight for Thursday delivery. Just in time before I go out of town for a week. Woo Hoo.

Coming from Memphis warehouse.

Same deal. Replacement Dinc, ordered on 5/12 but was through CS. Not sure I'll get overnight. I'm starting to get pissed at people that send me emails. I want one and one email only :)

UGH!! I ordered first thing A.M. on 5/12, and got the "order processed" email at 8:30 am right away after I ordered. Still NOTHING.

Just like GreatGoo, every email I get, I frown at...LOL

Too late for that. If you change the address on an order after the order has been processed, you will change the ship date. I just confirmed this with Verizon. You typically have a 2-3 day window to make changes to the order before it is processed in the warehouse. After that, you are stuck unless you want to wait another 2 weeks.
 
My replacement dinc was ordered on 5/13 still waiting for email. I did get a FedEx return label in the mail yesterday so someone is doing their job.
 
"Replacement" ordered 5/13 over the phone! No email confirmation after the order and I just called and was told not to expect it till 6/4...
 
Do any of you think its worth trying to call a CSR and see if my phone has been shipped? Im tempted to, but I know I will probably just sit through 5 automated menus and then get a "ship by" date

You SHOULD not be receiving "brown box" versions within the 30 day window although some phone reps will TRY to push you that way when you first broach the subject of a replacement unit.

They are WRONG!!
 
Anyone know at what point I should give up hope of getting it by the weekend.
I ordered it in the store, and don't remember them specifying a type of shipping.. probably means 2 day.

I'm guessing that means I need a confirmation today (ordered 5/12 so hopefully still possible)

Basically... what time do they send out notifications till? I'm in NC so I'm guessing it'll come from Memphis
