Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

If there is anything to understand, it's that the CSR's can't verify if you'll get it sooner than the ship date quoted...

To be clear, the date quoted by VZW is not a ship date. It is a "will ship by" date. As long as your phone ships by that date, there is no need to check with a CSR. You are just wasting their time.
 
i cant imagine that htc or verizon will be shut down for 3 days even if fed ex dosnt run deliverys. hopefully the 3 days will alow them to get a good chunk of the backorders taken care of and tue. and wed. we will see many many "i got mine" posts

I imagine everyone gets the weekend off, as it's not like these warehouses are retail establishments or services. They deserve their Saturdays and Sundays off as much as the rest of us.

Also, keep in mind that the lag here is due to the Samsung AMOLED screens supply. They have to get them to HTC, who manufacture the phone to get them to Verizon, who in turn sell them directly to the customer. It isn't one single assembly line. We can probably assume that HTC waits for batches of AMOLEDs to arrive, and ships their phones in batches to Verizon. The current spate of deliveries from Verizon could just be the latest batch, and may taper off soon. So, I think it's optimistic to anticipate 5/20 orders no earlier than the week after next.

I'm not trying to be a downer or anything, just being realistic, so we don't get too overly anxious when the end is not quite in sight.

I Just hope mine arrives before the 30 day trial period. If it doesnt heads will roll. I ordered mine at a corp store on the 22nd. The money was pulled from my account on the 24th. I was told mine would come in around the 14th. I hope it holds true and doesnt get pushed back later. Can we check it online to see if its proccessing? Or should i just assume that corprate was full of it and be happy if it gets here by the end of june haha.

All i have to say is this phone better be worth it or its going on ebay.

Yay! Something I know about! lol I asked when I went into the store to look at screen protectors, and was told that the 30 day trial does not start until the minute you ACTIVATE the phone. If it didn't there would be a whole lot of 'Off with their heads'! lol

your 30 days doesn't start till you activate it trust me been there 10 years 12 phones i know for sure

p.s verizon had 14000 in stock as of this morning via tennessee district manager

who knows if you order today they say they have none in stock so maybe they are just covering there butts somewhat....

You have 7 days I think as well. If you don't activate it by then, they can charge full price for the phone as you breached the new service agreement. I think the only time you don't have to activate it within that time is if you bought it out of contract and paid full price.
 
Ordered on 5/13, got an e-mail confirmation that I was waiting on that said it was shipped TODAY, so hopefully this time tomorrow I will be using my Droid Incredible... Yay Me!

Oh god! My family received all new phones, but we were waiting to activate them until the Incredible came in. We upgraded from Alltel to Verizon, so we couldn't transfer our contacts with the app so we were going to take them all at once to our local Verizon store. I hope they don't charge us.
 
Thats good to know on the trial. I'm trying to figure out when the ordered was processed but no luck finding anything on the verizon site. Might call the corp store tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good holiday weekend including those at verizon/htc/samsung and everyone involved. We all have family and friends to see and family members lost to remember as well as our troops current and those who have passed.
 
I ordered my replacement(dust under the screen) on the 19th and the ship by date is 6/7. Hopefully it comes sooner, maybe the same day we get root!

I have a feeling yours will ship Tuesday. For most people it's been about two weeks till a ship date while VZW has been promising about 3 weeks.

You should be ok. Its my understanding that if your new to Verizon, your contract doesn't start until you activate the phone. =)
 
Got my notification tonight!! Unfortunately, we have the loooong weekend this weekend, and so I won't have my phone untill Tuesday. Hopefully someone will be home to pick it up, as I have to work that morning.

First phone received on 5/26 failed. Went to VZW Store yesterday 5/27 replacement to be delivered today by 3pm.

The first phone (originally ordered on 5/10) charged fine the first time. I was able to enjoy playing with the phone, and setting things up. When the battery was drained, I plugged it in to charge and went to bed. When I woke up, the charging status led was not lit. The phone would not boot. So, first phone lasted less than 24 hours. It must have been a Monday or Friday build... hopefully I get a phone built on Wednesday. :rolleyes:
 
My phone sat in Memphis all day yesterday. It has been in the FedEx facility since 2pm yesterday. What the heck?

Yes I have two day shipping.
