Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I ordered mine on 6/9 with a promise date of 6/30. I've been reading this thread and started to get a little worried. I called Verizon and a CSR told me (after confirming with internet sales) that my phone will be shipped on 6/30 with overnight shipping. She said all delivery dates in July will be delayed 5 days. She also said that if I was unavailable to receive the phone, the phone will be returned with NO restock fee and a refund will be given. She also mentioned they are allowing customers to cancel their order if the item hasn't shipped yet. People that want to cancel have to call and cancel. They are doing this because of the long delay and the fact that the "X" is right around the corner. Take it for what it's worth.
 
Good luck finding a lawyer who doesn't laugh you out of his office.

Come on, folks. It's a $150 piece of plastic and silicone. we all ordered them knowing full well they were back ordered indefinitely. Exercise a little patience and stop cluttering up the tubes with these inane and implausible scenarios.

You'll get your phone when you get it. Now go read a book or ride a bike.

Nice of him to call you tomorrow....the nice young lady I talked with earlier this week is supposed to call me tomorrow.....so we will see....

verizon lady just called me and confirmed the 5 day delay
promised to call me on monday regarding my shipment status...this sucks
 
Just got off phone with Veriszon Store conferenced in with Verizon CSR. They have an email that says anyone who ordered 6/2 on add 5 days. HTC received a bad batch of screens and now they are backed up even further. all 6/24 ship by are 7/1 and they are not going out next day. Because of the back up they are all going 2nd day. Since that is a Holiday Weekend do not expect Delivery till July 6. For those of you playing along at home that is an additional week and a half past our original Ship By Date....
 
Does the 30 day trial start the day you order the Incredible or the day you activate?

On the day you activate, I confirmed that with Verizon CSR today. Otherwise we'd all be stuck with the Incredibles since Verizon seems to take almost 30 days just to deliver them after the purchase.

Whew! Thanks so much. I really really want to love the Incredible, but call quality/reception comes first and foremost for me, so if I can't hear people talking or vice versa, that's a deal breaker sadly. I can deal with battery issues and weird text issues, but the call quality has got to be there.
 
Dang, I somehow missed out on the last 3 pages....I didnt think I was gone that long. LOL. well at this rate I am just hoping to get my Dinc before my birthday on 7/18. We will see how well that goes. I ordered on 6/14 :(
 
Just talked to another CS rep and she, after putting me on hold for a long time, came back and said, my date has changed to 7/1!!! And all i got was $25 credit!? I was thinking about changing mine out for a Droid X, but I got a extra $50 off with some promo thats going to end June 30th, so, then the Droid X would cost me another $50... Hmm... decisions decisions???

Totaling $139

Would I have to pay an extra $60 for the Droid X at $199, or would my promotions be figured in there, making it an even trade (minus the $35 restocking fee)?

csr response @7:10pm:
at the beginning of the call, she asked which phone i ordered and seemed well aware of the wait time.

"orders placed on 6/3 will be shipped on 6/24"
it sounded like she was reading off the schedule sheet so i'm not convinced.

the call ended with a promise to call tomorrow. she claimed that shipments were still going out tonight but could not tell me what the cutoff time is and said she had no knowledge about whether or not the warehouse had stock. i told her that if it does not ship today then i will be a dissatisfied customer tomorrow.

for those that are waiting and have reached their ship date, i'd suggest calling up to check status. if it hasn't gone out on time or is pushed back, voice your displeasure with verizon. it's obviously not the csr's fault so there's no point in beating up on the person answering the phone. still, let the company know they goofed and ask how they are compensating customers for the delay.

Well if this is the case, Verizon is required by law to contact all people affected and inform them of the shipping delay, and offer to refund the money if so desired. If they do not they are in violation of federal law. I would suggest everyone affected file a complaint with the FTC. I know once my shipping date comes and goes and I recieve no information from Verizon I will be. I have posted the link to the law earlier in the thread.
 
I ordered online and also went to a "authorized dealer"and gave them a $50 deposit.

The store called today and they got em in stock.

Gonna get it tomorrow on my lunch break.

Im pretty stoked.

Also, Best buy said they get em 1 or 2 at time and that i should call on there delivery days . . . . . . . . . just thought i'd let you know

there is no delay for 6/2 orders. mine was just shipped today and i was told yesterday that it would not ship until the 28th

maybe you got lucky, but i was called personally and the first thing she told me was about the 5 day delay...expecting a call on monday regarding the status

i MIGHT have gotten lucky.. but when i called this morning they didnt tell me anything about the 5 day delay. (my phone was shipped later in the afternoon).

to tell you the truth i did call last night and got a little angry with the CSR. I told him that if the phone was not at my house by friday at the latest i will cancel all my lines. he kept saying that its HTC's fault and i told him that if HTC promised you that they will have phones on 6/23 to ship out you should take it up with them dont give me excuses. I pay my bill on time every month for the past 5 years, not one day late! and they cant send me 2 phones that I paid for on time?

needless to say he said that he will call me on friday to see if they arrived.

dont let the CSR's fool you into believing they have absolutely no control over this. Its verizons responsibility to hold HTC accountable for their promises because its making verizon look really bad.
