Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Holy Cow....so close....at least you can see yours moving....mine is still at the same place it was when it was picked up the 27th....not moved yet....

Hey RL!! Glad you could join us! What the heck is going on with your phone not moving? I believe I'd have to track it down myself at this point! ;)
 
Let us not fall victim to the oldest battle tactic there is..."Divide and Conquer". Petty bickering amonst ourselves only serves the objectives of the opponent. Let's not get distracted by the "let's stick to the spirit of this thread vs. don't tell me what to do" squabbles.

take what is useful to you out of these posts and be thankful people are willing to share...I think for the most part people are sharing because they want to help others as well as get some solace in seeing that they are not alone in the Droid wilderness.

remember, if you order a car and the thing takes forever to get to the dealer and when it does, it's broken...who do you bitch to? the dealer, of course, not the Corporate headquarters. Verizon is the dealer here, they have an obligation to treat us with respect and dignity, give us some straight answers and STOP pointing fingers at everyone else in this mess.
 
Hey guys do you know if there is an X thread going on? If there is I'd like to go over there and ask how many have canceled an Dinc order and switched to the X. If its alot than maybe that will push our orders up some.

Good morning...lol...if I could I would get in the car and drive there and get it but I called FedEx this morning and they assure me it is moving and on it's way still scheduled for delivery tomorrow.....:eek:
 
I have been lurking around here for a few weeks.

I am a new customer and orderd online.

Ordered: 6/7
Original Ship date: 6/28

I finally decided to give good old verizon a call, mainly to find out if I was going to be charged for a month of service. Good news was I wasnt, bad news is they cant even find that I am a customer. I talked to a very friendly CSR, and she seemed to try everything she could to find out what was going on. Finaly said that she needed to contact the online department but at the moment it was closed. She said a supervisor would be incontact with me today to help me further.

So here I wait with the rest of you hopeing my order didnt get lost in the bits and data.

P.S. I have recived an order number, and they have charged my debit card.
 
Again, I'm a 6/4 order and haven't received any confirmation yet. It would be a great help if anyone around this order date could post if they have/haven't gotten their phone or confirmation.

We all know by now that the CSRs don't have the info we are looking for. All we can do is wait this out help each others sanity out by posting dates so each of us can decipher when we can expect delivery.

Called CSR 6/24
New date: 6/28
Received: 6/28

Obviously HTC/Samsung/Verizon are having some issues with meeting promised demands. This apparently started with phones ordered around the 1st of June. Customers were being told it could be an additional 5 working days to get the phones. I was told it was a 'small problem'- only a few ship dates were affected, and not a lot of customers in all. Apparently, this is not the entire truth. Actually it sounds like a flat out lie. Verizon just needs to come out and tell customers the truth, no matter how much it hurts. Truthful information will go further than having to give out freebies to keep customers temporarily happy.
Do call a VZW rep the day your phone is due, if you have not received a confirmation of shipping. It doesn't do anybody any good to hound them days before your date- it simply ties up the CSR lines, and frustrates you even more when you don't get an answer you don't like- and probably one you know the answer to anyway.

I waited 26 days- it was worth the wait. I would have waited another week or two if needed (I would have been climbing the walls...but...). Be patient- if HTC/Verizon can keep customers happy, I believe they could overtake iPhone in popularity.

My uncle was a 6/4 and he recived his traking info last night around 5pm mountain time. Hope this helps.
 
I just got off the phone with CSR and i got the 5-10 day delay for backorders. Well, if the 5-10 day is for backorders, what the heck was the 21 day delay for?

ordered on 6/7
ship date of 6/28
tracking email? no
arrival date? who knows
 
It seems that the pattern through most of our posts has gone from a 21 day wait to a 25-26 day wait before shipping. So if that holds steady then perhaps I and my fellow 6/7'ers will get some shipping notification around Friday... which kinda sucks because it's a holiday weekend and of course we would all like to have our new phones by then... but then this puts me back at my original thought that most likely we will not see shipments until sometime next week. :( So I'm gonna hunker back down and settle in for more of our daily entertainment. I'm gonna go get some popcorn!! :D

Agreed on both points. I think if VZW was being honest and giving consistent answers, we all might be a bit more patient.

As for calling before your delivery date, I will say that doing so has only served to freak me out, since occasionally a CSR won't be able to find certain info in my file and I keep getting different answers to the same question. Since today is my supposed delivery date, I now feel as though my harassing phone calls are warranted. ;)

Although I'm on the fence about switching to the X, I'm not going to cancel my DInc order because at this point I am genuinely interested to see what arrives first - my DInc or July 15 (the scheduled release date for the X). :eek:

I hate to say it, but you might be right. Haven't anything from VZW about shipping information.
 
1. Customer service has nothing to do with the delays. They're doing their job. I'd be mad at Samsung or HTC, if I'm going to be mad at someone.

2. I agree we're frustrated (my ship date was supposed to be today, ordered 6/8), but it seems there is a flood of people who are giving order dates and promise dates, and recounting customer service chats of what they're told, but I haven't seen anyone in about 15 pages who actually has received the phone. I was just asking for that important piece of information.

3. Seeing someone post: ordered 6/4, promised 6/24, arrived today. THAT would be most helpful.

4. Going back to earlier pages doesn't do much good, since it seems clear big delays have started in the last two weeks or so.


Ok wolfman...I did not mean to offend you. Yes we are all very frustrated so we come here and vent to each other. My ship date was 5 days ago, and still has not shipped...on top of the fact that my original order was may 24th and 2 days after placing it, it got cancelled somehow and i did not find out until 12 days later when calling to check shipping status...so i have been waiting a hell of a long time and it gets pretty aggravating when CSR's give you every excuse under the sun and a different answer every time you talk to them. We know that this problem lies deeper than verizon...all the way down to samsung and their stupid screens. You haven't seen any phones received because their has been very few in the last 2 weeks. The week before last, people were at least receiving their phones by the "ship by date". Last week all the notifications suddenly came to a halt. We would love to post our received dates, but we don't have them yet...Trust me, when someone gets a notification, the first thing they do is get on this thread to let their beloved hostages know about it. So take what it here and use it however you may need. I too would like to scroll through this thread and see notification upon notification just so i know that my order had not been forgotten and we are left here to rot. Sorry for the sarcastic remark previous, but i think this is one of the only places we can come to vent cause our husbands (wives) are getting sick of hearing us bitch about our phones, and these are the only people who understand...Dincs Anonymous

called CSR at *611 on 6/29
Told that CSR placed cancel order
I told her that the only time I mentioned returning it was IF i could go to store and get a cash refund. She told me that I could only get a check or credit to my account. I told her no I only wanted to cancel if I could get cash in hand.

back to today 6/29

Csr just told me that until she talks to the csr that put in the itts that IT cant and wont release the recall order to fedex. so I will not get it today cause she wont be in until 4:30 tonight. and it had to be already on truck

been on call 1 hour. on hold to talk to a super now long enough to type this out. and be told a super would have to call me back. told her no I would hold. Trying to be nice but its getting harder.

6/7 order here and promised ship on or before 6/28. I for one am glad for all the information in this forum, because it has tempered my expectations. Figured I'd call since it's a day past my ship date. They told me it was shipping out today. No matter how I tried to get her to tell me differently that was the story she stuck with. Figure I'll call again this evening when I don't get an email confirmation that she said would be sent out.

Off topic a bit but as a single heterosexual male...I find it a bit disquieting when I hear the phrase "Dincs anonymous" bandied about.

on 6/24 I called VZ csr and was told of a 5 day delay in shipping.

recieved shipping email at 6:00 pm on 6/25 with tracking info saying to be delivered by 7:00 pm on 6/29.

Waiting for FEDEX truck now.
