Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Well, just called the local Verizon store to ask about reserving the "X" and what is the story behind the "Incredible" debacle.

Finally...FINALLY someone at Verizon gave me the straight answer, the honest to Gods truth about these things. She said (and I quote):

"Sir, we don't know anything" (unquote)

At least someone had the decency to admit the they knew nothing and could offer nothing. So shocked was I at this honest admition that I almost choked to death on the Altoids I was chewing on.

Sums it up perfectly, I think.
 
sooooo....just talked to lady at verizon's executive relations dept. Turns out that my phone that should have been shipped last friday, and then again yesterday, and today, and tomorrow, will not be shipped until sometime around july 8th (so i am informed). The original 5 day delay has indeed turned into a 10 day delay due to manufacturing issues....(probably that new screen that half of us will get) I have been living with my droid who only works probably on 2-5% of my calls...the rest either randomly drop or at some point throughout a conversation no one can hear me anymore. Let me say, i would have smashed it many a times if i had a tracking number. I told her i wasn't paying my bill for the shit service and that i wanted a credit for another month of service as well for my inconveniences. I did get a credit for a full months service...im still pissed. i will be out of town as well next week, and now i have no f'n clue when to expect the damn thing. she proceeded to tell me that she could cancel my order....i said "no i don't want to cancel my order - i just want my phone...ive waited this long, why would i cancel now?" Customer service=morons with the exception of a few

So...while driving down the road, relatively bored, I decided to call my trusty VZW CSR and just get a status update (HA!)... recap: ordered 6/3 internet.
The nice CSR, after putting me on hold for about 10 minutes, came back and said that my order would ship out on 7/4...but since that was a holiday, 7/5. I asked her if she was absolutely sure (...right), and if there was any chance it would ship soon. She said "yes, she was sure" and "no, it won't ship sooner".

30 minutes later I RECEIVE MY SHIPPING NOTIFICATION! :) :) :) :)

Ordered 6/3 Internet
Shipped 6/29
ETA 6/30 by 3:00PM

Now as long as they don't decide to recall my shipment! :D

So it's at my apartment leasing office and I'm at work!:eek:
 
WOOOHOOOO 6/4 just got my notice!!! and it should be here tomorrow! I was told I had overnight but I was skeptical, but the verizon guy from teh store i ordered from just called and said its do to arrive tomorrow!!!!!!!

edit:all I wanted it by was the weekend! so even if I don't get overnight I should have it easily by then!!!!!

I had overnight shipping to.


Chong Phew... whom I talked to on Friday said that my phone was shipping out Monday and I would get it Wednesday (30th) When I asked about 2 days shipping he said the shipping for all incredible phones had been converted to 2 day shipping.

Monday when I hadn't received my shipping conformation golden ticket email... I called CS and spoke to Leroy who informed me that there was a 5 day lag in orders and that I would get an email when it shipped. I brought up the overnight shipping that i HAD been promised when I ordered it and immediately he said.. oh yeah because you have had to wait so long we are overnight shipping all incredibles.

So really... I don't believe anybody. I am sure they are TIRED of getting calls from us... I just wish they would tell the truth and quit trying to appease us with stupid lies that just piss us off and get our hopes up
 
I ordered 6/9 in the store with an estimated ship date of 6/30. I called today to make sure that the estimated ship date was still the 30th and she assured me that it was and there was no 5 day shipping delay. So she told me to call back tomorrow and they should have a tracking number. So hopefully it will ship tomorrow and I will have it by July 2nd on Friday.

Not trying to sound rude but the people who ordered on 6/9 are going to have to wait a little more seeing there are still 6/5 orders yet to be recieved. Sorry to be a dream killer
