Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Icing on the cake story here....now that I have cancelled my Incredible (and they credited the money back the very next day)..I get a call from Verizon..................

The woman said that she can see that I am eligible for an upgrade on my phone...my teeth began to ache and I got a twitch in my left eye as she went on about how I could get the Incredible for only $50 after the mail in rebate.

Mt. Vesuvius erupted!!!!!!!!!!

I laid into her with a littany of frustrations and foul tempered expletives..so help me I let her have it for all of us.

The kicker is..she apologized profusely and said she didn't think the orders were that backed up, only a few weeks she thought...and then had the gall to say "so you're not interested in the Incredible for only $50.

Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait....what....how did I miss this...you canceled your order....oh man you were so close....
 
:D:D:D So here's an idea! It's the vicodin speaking.

When we get our Dinc's....sometime this year i would suppose...use the Dinc for our 30 day trial period....return it.....VZW should have plenty of used units that we could buy CHEAP! :p:p
 
Ok...6/6'er with a ship date of 6/28 still here and after 2 vicodin and reading this mornings posts i'm felling ........ well not really feeling anything at the moment! Do I dare call my favorite CSR's this early? Pile on their already ruined days? Maybe I will get my favorite CSR Tamika who yesterday afternoon basically confirmed that she 'KNOWS NOTHIN" literally! Read my post from yesterday afternoon.

No apolgy email. No email with shipping information. No $25. No credit to my account. No text message info as promised from CSR's. NO F'n PHONE!

My accessories are lonely sitting their on my dresser waiting patiently for their master!

Yeah.. Gotta love Tamika. She told me yesterday the reason why there is a 10-day delay is the "screens are bad" and they are upgrading the screens to the new and improved "HDMI displays" which are much better. :p HDMI??? Proof that the CSRs are making shit up. Hahahaha.... I almost laughed out loud at her, but out of kindness, I refrained.:D

New Verizon purchases can be returned within the first 30 days of purchase for a $35 restocking fee. Fine, But..... Does the 30 days start on the order date or the activation date?

If it is the order date, they are really going to have a lot of us by the balls. I will probably get mine 30+ days after my 6/6 order was placed.
 
I may have mine but I feel the pain of those who don't.

Nope....30 days starts from activation!

Yeah...I had every intention of hanging in there..remember, I ordered on 6/17 and they told me while I was on the phone ordering it that it would be shipped on 7/17 then 7/21. Ok, I could live with that but when I called last friday to check to make sure things were still on track..the CSR told me that it absolutely would not ship out before 7/28 and more likely into August somewhere.

Admittedly, I popped my cork, as I am want to do sometimes and cancelled it on the spot. Truth be told, I regret cancelling it, I really like the Incredible and as I have posted..I keep fondling the case I bought for the Dinc more than I fondle ......never mind.

So now, I am fu@ked.
 
Ok good. Plus they told me they'd waive my $35 restocking fee (I have a call confirmation number), so Ill basically have up to 30 days to decide between the incredible, droid x and any other phone that may come along. Good deal. Just hope I can make it through the weekend at Brookville Lake without chucking my Storm 1 into the lake.
 
Oh yeah - my saga did continue last night....when trying to activate the phone it kept dropping my call. I moved outside figuring maybe the AC was screwing with me (? couldn't figure out what else it might be) but still did it. Then I realized I would have to do the most dreaded thing to all of us....Call CSR. AAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Amazingly enough I got a very helpful woman, who then told me that my phone was on the account but that I had to accept the terms and conditions.....after several tries and having to go back to the blackberry twice we finally got the DInc started.

Lesson - just cause it's in your hands does not mean that you are done having to deal with CSR.

You may not be, if they switch to the Sony SLED screens they may be able to fulfill orders as well as stock the stores. All they were waiting for were screens so once an adequate supply is there production should ramp up.
 
Cancelled my Inc pre-order sick of the run around, I'll wait another few days to have the latest tech...hello moto x

I was tempted, but the size of that thing is insane. Great for viewing, but I carry my comm-link in my pocket and don't want to have to add another $65 to my monthly bill for the chiropractor visits. ;)

Exact same thing happened to me, and it gets better... had to do a battery pull last night:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
 
LMAO... Seriously?? And the incompetence rolls on....

Lets face it....they are clueless and it is really the fault of management for not letting them know how to communicate the delays and problems....and also HTC for not communicating properly with Verizon on the issue.....I can see meeting after meeting taking place over this miss.

Sad but true, I got the majority of my info online. The bloggers seem to know more abut this than VCS. I just feel bad for the folks answering the phone when we call, they're just telling us what they know....... Which aint much unfortunately.

I also got the $25 apology email last night. I think I'm going to go ahead and cancel today, though. A few of my colleagues have Evo's, and I'm mildly envious, so I'm just going to wait another two weeks for the Moto X. I like the specs/features better anyway.
 
Morning peoples! As it looks i am a bit late to this one...Got the stupid email from verizon at like 12:30 last night but i knew it had nothing to do with my phone actually shipping...bc those emails say SHIPMENTS FROM VERIZON! WHATEV...happy with th $25 gift card, i'll just let hubby use it towards his X. But they should have sent those out before we all knew about the F'N delay. I am going to try to resist calling customer service today, cause I just end up pissed off. I am leaving for lake house with fam tomorrow, and of course will be camping next week. So i hope the stupid thing miraculously ships today so i will have by friday. I mean really...6/7's getting their notices all over, and 6/5's are left behind. I can't understand this...and i am tired of trying. This is beyond pure torture. Fear of the unknown. Pray with me friends....
 
I received the apology letter also. My phone is supposed to ship today, at least that is what I was told by a CSR yesterday. I have not received a shipping confirmation as of yet, but it's still early. I also tried the Fed Ex thing; nothing there yet either. Tick tock................


What was your order date? Mine was 6/6 Online. I was told mine would ship either yesterday afternoon or today as well. I then got the dreaded 7 day email...
