I don't think HTC would go through the trouble of switching screens if that was the case. What the DInc needs I think is for the sales numbers to be released... When apple announced 1.7 million iPhone 4 sales on the first weekend, companies got $ in their eyes when they thought about accessories. No one really knows right now how the DInc is selling, so no one knows if it is worth it to make accessories for it.

I got the email too this morning, and I'll take them up on the gift card. Then I called Verizon. *611, because tried checking by order number from the email I got today6/30/10, and got msg back it wasn't a valid order number. Talked to a guy at Verizon. and he said my Dinc is shipping overnight either today or tomorrow, to be in my hands by Friday-latest. We'll see.....
I sent this note to Verizon:
I called and inquired this morning and was told my phone is shipping overnight either today or tomorrow so I will have it by Friday.( I hope the guy on the phone was more correct than you.) If not, I'll be patient a little longer. Since I got that email telling me I was also receiving a gift card because of the wait (and my patience), I figure I am way ahead! Looking forward to the phone. I already have a full sized User's guide, which I ordered online and received free, plus an extra battery and protective case. I AM READY!!!!!Thanks again!

At this time there has been no change in shipping. As Laura mentioned in an early reply the shipping date has been pushed out about ten days. I apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused. However, due to the delay we will be sending you a $25.00 Gift Card. I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

After my phone has sat in Memphis since Sunday afternoon and left there at 4:29 pm yesterday....crazy that it sat 2 days in Memphis....it is FINALLY out on the truck for delivery.....wooohoooo!
Had a horrible nightmare last night that when it got to the store they let someone else have it.....
.....that would not turn out pretty for them....

Order in store: June 4
Estimated arrival: June 24
2nd Estimated arrival: June 30
New Shipment date: June 25
Another new shipment date: June 25 but no tracking number yet so we will see!
Received Tracking number in email: June 27
Arrived at FedEx: evening of June 27, did not leave there till June 29
Out on truck for delivery: June 30
What a totally crazy bumpy ride....

Not entirely true about the charge for 8 hours - mine only needed 4 to get the green light - I killed a full charge in 4 hours. Lol. AND.....my f*ckin blackberry knew it was being discarded - it had to - it ATE MY PICTURES!!!! tried the SD card in the printer and it tells me it's blank. MOTHER F*'ER!!! Sorry kids no pics - thankfully I had backed up about a week ago so the only pics I'm missing are the ones I just took last night AND a couple others I was sent recently.

Ok...6/6'er with a ship date of 6/28 still here and after 2 vicodin and reading this mornings posts i'm felling ........ well not really feeling anything at the moment! Do I dare call my favorite CSR's this early? Pile on their already ruined days? Maybe I will get my favorite CSR Tamika who yesterday afternoon basically confirmed that she 'KNOWS NOTHIN" literally! LOL... The only announcement I got was an email from Verizon this morning saying there were delays in shipping! DUH.... Really??
Icing on the cake story here....now that I have cancelled my Incredible (and they credited the money back the very next day)..I get a call from Verizon..................
The woman said that she can see that I am eligible for an upgrade on my phone...my teeth began to ache and I got a twitch in my left eye as she went on about how I could get the Incredible for only $50 after the mail in rebate.
Mt. Vesuvius erupted!!!!!!!!!!
I laid into her with a littany of frustrations and foul tempered expletives..so help me I let her have it for all of us.
The kicker is..she apologized profusely and said she didn't think the orders were that backed up, only a few weeks she thought...and then had the gall to say "so you're not interested in the Incredible for only $50.
Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see!!!!!!!!!!!

Checked email this am and received the dreaded delay email from Verizon. Glad they are acknowledging the problem. $25.00 gift card is a lot better than nothing. I am happy for all those that received tracking info (even though I can't help being filled with jealousy and envy.) Congrats to everyone who receives their phone today.
I am going to stop in the store this afternoon and ask them re shipping date. The $25.00 just helps me to remember to be nicer.

So i'm a 6/6, my projected ship date was supposed to be 6/28, When 6/28 rolled around no email. So i called yesterday on 6/29 and the CSR said that my phone will ship on 6/30. She stated that there was notes on my account stating that it will be shipped. So i was in good spirits.
Today rolled around and I checked my email and saw the email saying expect up to a 5-10 day delay but here is 25 bucks.
So i called and this CSR said "well it looks like you can expect the phone after the 4th of july." So that means i get to deal with the holiday shipping delay on top of a 5 day shipping delay. I asked if the delay applied to me and he said that it is almost definite that i will be part of the 5 additional days of shipping delay. So i said if i dont get something by th 5th or 6th im cancelling the order and pre-ordering the X. I hate this.

Happy and sad that I'm not the only one losing sleep over this. My wife thinks I'm crazy, she just doesn't understand.
Just received an email from Verizon saying that all 6/7 orders will ship by 6/29 with a 5 to 10 day delay
