Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

When I had my first HTC Incredible, with normal use I got about 8 hours. It does take time for the battery to condition itself. Try doing 4-5 full charges. Here is a good thread to read for more information on battery life:

Most people seem to buy an extended battery if you need more life out of one charge.
 
My order was processed on 6/5 and I was originally given a 6/24 ship date (Chicago Area).

Today I got a text message that there will be a delay of up to 8 business days and they would be crediting my account $25 for the inconvenience (big whoop!). I think I will be stopping at the Verizon store I ordered from and talking to the rep I have been working with. I am seriously considering switching to the MotoDroid X -- I just want to eyeball it first!

The wait has just gotten to be ("incredibly") ridiculous and now there appears to be uncertainty that the phone will even have the same type of screen that was identified when I ordered it.

My wife placed an order for an Incredible around 4 or 5 days after me -- no telling how long hers will be back-ordered by!

Thanks! I had run across that thread but never bookmarked it. I'll give it a week or so before I decide if I want to order an extended battery. But on the other hand I'm really not ever anywhere for more than a couple hours that I couldn't charge the phone (a charger at home, work and in the car and I'm set!)

No problem.

I actually picked up a 1500 and 2150. I use my phone pretty heavily so I needed to have something that would last me an entire day. I just don't like carrying around a charger with me.:D

lol.....well when I am by myself they stay locked....but trust me in about 2 1/2 hours it will be lights out around here.....

When I texted my daughter and told her it was here she had the nerve to ask me "Are you going to stop by and get it on your way home?"

duhhhhhh....lol...she is tired of hearing me whine!

when i first got it, i powered it up and completely ignored the 8 hour charge rule, lasted about an hour before it died, then i plugged it in, charged for a while maybe 2 hours? that lasted me about 4-5 hours also

charged again for a bit, did not charge overnight
instead i let it idle to test the whole 'useless ATK' theory
slept at 3, woke up at 9, battery was near full, it is now 3:00 and it is at orange bar

i plan on overnight charging it tonight

6/6-6/7 here,

Just called *611 to see if there were any changes in my shipping schedule. (I got very excited when I saw some 6/7's ship). The nice lady told me there was no change that she saw on mine and it probably wouldn't go out until Tuesday. Which I guess I'm ok with because at least she's being honest with me.

Everyone that got their notifications today congrats and enjoy showing off to friends and family over the holiday. :D

How is HTC/Verizon going to reimburse my employer for the lack of motivation to do work because all I want is my Incredible and I can not stop looking at applications, rooting, and this one single thread!!!!

I thought I was 6/7 but I am 6/8. We are a rare breed us 8's
 
Congrats to all those with notifications today. I am glad to see some 6/7's start shipping, so now my 6/8 should arrive about the same time as my $25 card.
 
Anyone in NYC end up having to pick up their package from a sort facility? Does anyone know if you can find out at which facility a package will be held if it is not delivered?

you can call fedex and give your tracking # and they will tell you where it is currently

in nyc, it most likely will be at the west 42nd fedex facility, but mine came from jersey into manhattan

My estimated delivery date was 7/1 but I just checked and it's on the truck for delivery. I should have the phone in the next hour or two!
