I'm happy for each of you. I'm happy for me as well for that puts me that many units closer to having mine. I called CS today to see if they had a clue as to why some received an email and $25 gift certificate pacifier and some like myself did not. Naturally they are as clueless as to the mailing list as they are to the shipping list.
My status remains the same... shipping yesterday lol. We laughed and agreed with each other that nobody knows what the hell is going on and her parting comments were that I would likely receive an email smoothie before I get an actual shipping notification lol. At least she was nice.

Well after you first get it of course you won't stop playing.
Yesterday (day 5 w/ it) i got 15 hours awake time 5 hours up time. Plus there is an official extended battery made by HTC its a 2150 compared to the stock 1300. It;s cheaper if you order it from verizon, will ship by 8/30, lol. Seidio also has a 3500 for sale.

Hello new friends..I ordered my phone 6/21 I was not told of the backorder problem at all when I went to the store that faithful day. I looked around browsed the phones with Mr.Vzw DUDE and picked out that beautiful peace of equipment. Little me should of known when the Mr. DUDE said it wasn't in the store that he would have to order it, that it was going to be a problem. Flash forward 2 days after I noticed I had no tracking number and that my phone was not here..I decided to investigate and go online that is when I discovered that the phone was backed up. If only the DUDE was honest with me when I went and bought my phone I would of probably just bought the Motorola and moved on. It's just been a week ,but I feel like my phone will never come ,and I went in the store today just to browse and ask questions. The manager told me that it will be 3-4 weeks she couldn't give me an exact date when I asked what happens if my Dinc is not here before my rebate expires (8/2) She avoided the question all together! I mean really so first I have to wait until basically who knows when to get my phone and then you can't even tell me what will be done if my phone is still not here past the rebate postmark by date? Feel like I am in the freaking twilight zone!

I went into vz store today ( I am in Columbia,Tn) The Manager their told me a lady that had ordered her's from Columbia store on 6/4 hasn't received her notification yet. So I am thinking no.

Don't order from htc. You can get the htc 1500 for 15 bucks from amazon and the htc 2150 is like 20 bucks cheaper if you get it through verizon (don't worry there's no screen on battery so you should get it before august, lol)
No emails yet but the message when I call *611 has changed to "you have a device pending activation" within the last couple of hours. GOOD NEWS - Got my shipping notice.
BAD NEWS - The warehouse ignored the note about my new shipping address and it's going to the wrong place.
My husband left a typed note on our front door to leave it on our front step or, in the alternative, to leave it at the closest Fed Ex store. Does anyone know if this will work? The shipping number is NOT on the note because he left town before I got the notice.

This is the twilight zone. They control the horizontal.. they control the vertical. There is no adjusting your set. Welcome to the looney bin.
It's just WRONG that you weren't at least informed up front that the phone was way over ordered and under stocked. That should not have happened! I at least was told of the delays and was told my unit would not ship until 6/29. That was not a fact but at least I was prepared to wait a while.
On a lighter note.... I'm off this afternoon and I'm out of beer. Sooooo, I'm off to my store. I hope some 6/8s and 9s roll out while I'm gone.

6/12er here (ordered in a corporate store), and long time lurker.
My original ship date was 3 weeks, which would be on July 5th or 6th, based on the holiday. Called a *611 CSR last week to check on shipping date because I will be out of town from the 12th - 15th, and don't want the phone sent back. Tried to change the ship to location to my office, but was told no changes could be made to the order until a shipping notification was received.
Last week I sent an e-mail to the salesperson at the corporate store to see if she could change the address. When I did not hear from her for two days, I called to see if she was in the store, and was told she would be in later that day, forwarded the e-mail to the store manager. He confirmed ship date of 7/9, and that receiving location can't be changed until shipping is confirmed. The sales rep called me back to and said she would keep checking my account for a shipping notification, and had the new address noted on my account.
Still waiting and reading this thread, wondering if I should switch to the Moto X (won't get either phone until the 16th anyway) because the screen is bigger (have a Storm 2 and had a iPhone so the size it not much of a factor), and just received an e-ail from Big Red (not shipping information or the infamous $25.00 e-mail) promoting the Droid X...wondering if it is fate?
To all those who have already received their Dincs, and are still taking pity on us and hanging around, I just have 2 quick questions:
I have horrible vision and need reading glasses to see a phone with small fonts. Can the Dinc's font be enlarged in these programs - contacts, e-mail, messaging and web browsing?

Do you think the swap-out screen which I will most likely receive make a big difference on the phone, is the AMOLED that great?

Like some on here I got the lovely Email about the 7 day delay and the 25 gift card. And I just got of the phone with Trent, who was very friendly and sorry for the wait on my phone. He asked if I had recived the email and I said yes. He then offerd to take half off my next months bill.
At this point I am just going to sit back congratulate all of you that are getting your traking numbers and keep waiting for the fate full day that I switch from refreshing my email every 5 minutes, to refreshing the Fed Ex tracking page.

Yes, the NOTE ON THE DOOR does work! I left my house today with a big printed sign for FEDEX, with the order number, reference number, tracking number, my name and signature, requesting to leave it at the front door. I just checked my tracking:

Don't know about the font change but you will be able to tell a difference with the AMOLED and the SLCD if you put them side by side but you wont know unless you compare. The SLCD is better in the sun though you can see it clearer in direct sunlight than the AMOLED

OK, here's the poop. Someone let me know if this doesn't sound right based upon any experience with Fed Ex you might have.
I called Fed Ex. There will be a first attempt to deliver tomorrow (did I mention the damn thing is in a facility that is practically close enough to spit on from my house? I could puke).
After that, it will be sent to a nearby location. My H can then pick it up on Saturday so long as he shows ID with the same shipping address. If three business days go by and the package isn't picked up or signed for, it gets sent back.
I'm threading a needle here. H is traveling for work and should be back Friday night but leaves again Monday. The Fed Ex rep said that facility holding the package will be open on Saturday, which I need to check.
This is like being shown the world's biggest, most luscious chocolate dessert that magically imparts no weight gain but being limited to smelling it. I seriously can't believe this. Who was I to think that VZW could implement an address change!! That's super-complicated stuff, you know!!
