Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I have a bad feeling that Verizon is going to use this weekend to catch up on shipping. My phone is supposed to ship on 7/9, but I am calling right after this post to confirm that. So there are only 9 days until ship date, hopefully.

Still scheduled for the 9th, but some phones are backordered an extra 5 days but i may not be affected by it (mhmm). I also asked her if I would be able to pick it up from a Verizon store if they had it in stock. I was told no because the order was already placed. So I reply with "so I can't pick it up from a Verizon store early, even though I already paid for it?" Again she tells me no because it has already been ordered and paid for. I should have asked why they were stocking their stores with phone when I still haven't received mine? Can the next person to call, please ask them that for us?

Edit: Adding Haiku, maybe I will start talking in only haiku's.

Been lurking ever since Father's Day when I found out my wife ordered me a DInc. She ordered it in her name (to get a 18% work discount) so I have to convince her to call CS if I want any info. She was told she can't add me to the account until it is activated. Waiting very impatiently.

I have a good feeling about tomorrow, hoping the west coast 6/6 people might get some notifications, seems many are getting actual overnight, so would be nice to have Friday.

If not I've resigned myself to the wait I think finally... I seriously feel crazy with how obsessed I am, lol.

I did call customer service though and they told me I could change my order to a droid x, told them I have hesitations and would not change an order without seeing it, but also would be pretty upset if I had the option and missed the opportunity by only a week or so if my incredible is so late.

They understood and noted my account that I could change out for the driod x free, no restocking fee. This made me a bit happier. They also said the droid x shouldn't have problems, plenty are being prepared to be available in store.

Welcome to the pit gr8nole. You are with good company here. I guess you have figured that out by now. Besides having sympathetic comrades that will listen to your every bitch with empathy and finding information that VZ will never share with you... You have a forum of people that are just as crazy over the Dinc as you are.

Just got the email were ALL waiting for. Shipped from Ontario Ca. Expected arrival 7-2. It's for real, with tracking # and everything!

Shipping Notice: 30 seconds ago... (06/30)
Will Receive: July 1 by 4.30pm
Shipping Location: Utah

I watched all the other shipments so enviously. What a relief.
 
I hope the 6/7 orders keep going out, cause that means 4 days wait for me!!!
 
So They have been saying that its not going to be shipped until 6/30. And on 6/29 I got an email stating that my order has been delayed due to shipping issues and its going to be another 7 days. So by the time I actually get it, I should be at around 30 total days waiting. WTF man. Nobody within 200 miles of me has an incredible. This thing better be awesomer than my Droid....LOL

I'm with you ZR. Been a lot of phones go out the last two days. I'm starting to get excited again. 3 days in theory here... plus the holiday and weekend.. sheesh.. but, at least they seem to be flowing again.
 
if you ordered on 6/9 I wouldn't expect it for a couple more days anyway. You're only 5 days before my order (6/14) and I won't have mine for another 12 days.
 
Funny thing happened to me today....

My Incredible came! Ordered on 6/3 shipped 6/28 received 6/30 in Indiana!

BUT.....

I went to a verizon store to get accessories for it and was talking to the guy about the phone and he said

"Yea we got 3 left. Got a shipment of 5 last week"

My jaw dropped............... How did they get some before I did!
 
this is funny received a call from csr saying that my 6/5 order has another 7-10 day delay so i wont get phone till maybe next week but offered me 25 dollar gift card, i took it but was still upset. 2hrs later received email for shipping notice to be delivered July 2. So happy i couldnt contain myself. cant wait for friday
 
So glad to see all these shipping notices!! Its getting closer and closer to my ship date (6/10)! This wait is killing me! Slowly, painfully killing me! :)

Congrats!!! I'm gonna call VCS just so they can tell me 5 - 7 days, so I'll get my shipping notice.:D
