Well, when the door rang, I didn't think it was a delivery person. But when I opened the door, I saw a blinding white truck with the purple and orange letterings and my eyes widened up like globes (and that's pretty wide for an Asian), and I looked at the sweating delivery guy (112 degrees out here) and he handed me the package and said "Alejandra?" (my grandmother's name). My eyes turned back into slits, took the package and opened it up for my grandma to help her set up her new BP machine/monitor.
 
My doorbell just rang and my phone is finally here! It is so beautiful! It is charging now! Can't wait to play!

Thank you to all of you that kept me sane through the last 4 weeks. This is a great bunch of people!!

For those who had asked earlier for a report, don't worry it does live up to all the hype. It is INCREDIBLE! I am replacing an iphone 3g and it just blows the iphone out of the water. Next to the driod, the iphone os looks so dated. (who would have thought that 2 years ago). And the Dinc just screams, it really is fast. The only problem I have is that there is so much to customize and so much to play with I don't know where to start. I have only had it charged a couple of hours but I am completely in awe of this phone and the way it performs.

Sorry for those that don't have theirs yet, I'm not trying to rub it in, just reporting back like I was asked.

I am still rooting for those who are awaiting ship dates, may yours come early, may yours come quick, and I hope yours is as great as mine.

I don't understand why people think they can't use their phone while it's doing the initial charge. I'm a firm disbeliever in all these charge before turning on battery superstitions.

This is a new line added on to my son's account. The only way I have of seeing a shipping notice is by calling the store. My son's email of record is no longer valid.
 
My phone has been at the local Fedex facility since 7-03 @7 AM. Looks like it is not going to go out today so I took tomorrow off from work. No way I am going to miss it. It shipped a week early so I can't complain. This weekend was rough waiting but I am almost there. Congrats to all who have received and good luck to all who are still waiting.

Why would they put it in the manual if it's a superstition? lol.

Actually, it's not in the manual. At least not in the one I downloaded from their site. This is all it says:

The battery is partially charged when shipped. Before you turn on and start using your phone, it is recommended that you charge the battery. Some batteries perform best after several full charge/discharge cycles.​

Nothing about how long you should charge it for initially... :confused:

I am still thinking that I can do a crappy 2 hour charge on my stock battery and then a real 8 hour charge with the 1500 battery that I will actually be using in the phone.

At least that's my plan until someone actually confirms that this will have a negative effect on the phone and I just need to be patient :D

7/5 I discovered the wonderful time sink that is Appbrain.com.
7/6 delivered.
7/7 will be sabbath-like, in that I will do no manner of Work.

Man the dam has broke and the dincs are freely flowing. WoW!! All of you out there with a long wait in front of you take heed. I've not seen this much action in here since 6/10. Congrats to all who received phone or notification. Now this is what I deem a holiday! The day the dincs flowed. We will naturually observe this holiday the following weekend from the fourth each year and if it falls on a weekend.. the normal monday observance will be in place. WooooooHoooooooo!

Same here. Mine is coming through work also. The only difference is, I am the IT guy and I haven't heard a thing. Hopefully there will be some news soon.
