Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I just checked online and it still says...

"Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method."

No luck for my 6/16 order just yet.

and the customer service rep refused to help. I told him that as soon as the EVO becomes available to me I will switch to Sprint. He basically said "oh well". If my phone doesn't arrive before I leave for vacation on the 23rd I will be leaving Verizon.

You probably mentioned this before, but when did you order the phone? And what was the estimated ship date they gave you?

With Verizon, there are good and helpful CSR's and unless jerks. If I get the latter, I just hang up and call back.

Hell... that's actually the case with most companies I have to deal with :rolleyes:
 
Mine's here... as mentioned previously, I'm a 6/13er. They shipped it overnight -- origin was Memphis and was one day to me...

It's plugged in now. 8 hours plus a bump. Perhaps I'll play with it tomorrow. I'm golfing at 6 am and can't stay up until midnight..

expected ship date is 7/22. It will probably ship early (I hope). It's not a matter of being super anxious to get the phone it's just that I leave on a week-long trip on 7/23 which means I have to either get FedEx to hold the shipment for a week or they will deliver it 3 times and then send it back to fedex.

Funny, thats my expected ship date, and i'm on a week-long vacation on the 23rd too :) I think someone else on here has the same, unless its you haha. I feel like the people who's expected shipping dates were the end of June were coming later, and now, they're coming earlier.

Congrats to you! And Aarrrgggg:mad:to me! I ordered 6/15 and live nearby Indy and haven't heard a thing! The wait is worse the closer it gets!

I just had a freak out moment! My BBerry Tour dings with an email. I hit the trackball and see Verizon Wireless. Heart stops beating for a couple seconds, and I open it up to see The next generation of Droid is coming. How will Droid X change... You are eligible to upgrade to the Droid X on July 15th. Are you freaking kidding me??? I don't want a stinking X!! I just want my Incredible!

I'm also a 6/16er who was doing well with the extended wait until I came across this post. Now I am no longer content, and refreshing my inbox constantly...
 
I need your guy's opinions. Should I suck it up and wait the extra 10-20 days to get the phone on my moms plan (and pay her $20 a month) or cancel my order with her, and order the incredible on my own plan, and pay about $80 a month.. i'm a Junior in college, work two jobs.. but $80 is a lot..
