Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I leave for two months on May 28th so I getting impatient and worried I wont see the phone till august. Also, I don't know what they will do with it since no one will be there to sign for me! I guess it will sit at a fedex office for two months.

Yeah, It's understandable. I'm in the same boat as I ordered mine on the 14th. Everyone is just getting so worked up and crazy! :D Heck, I'm going crazy myself! My Phantom Skinz I ordered came in today and I have no phone to stick em to!

You may want to call Fedex if you won't be able to receive your phone. Rather than keeping undelivered packages, they send them back after the 2nd delivery attempt.

I doubt verizon will have a new hot phone out by august(my bday month, so if they did that be cool)

it took them like 6 months to get the inc out after the droid

But perhaps you could have someone get your incredible from the fedex drop off location and have them ship it to wherever you are

It's really irritating that employees aren't aware that there is a shipping calendar for back orders. Which leads to customers calling in and being confused and upset because of conflicting information. The information is available just more reps aren't looking for it. The fact is if your ordered a phone 05/10 the expected ship by date is 05/28 and any order after that date the expected shipping date would be that many days later, For example, I ordered my droid online 05/11 and the ship by date is 05/29. If you so happen to get your phone early consider yourself lucky but reps really dont know when its going to be there. So just sit back and wait for the expected date to come. Worrying about it sooner is just needless stress as any answer you get will be a guess. The only official vzw statements are the ship by dates.

what the hell does this mean "Since payment has been taken we can not make any updates at this time."
 
ordered 5/9 been checkin order status all day and just now it changed to this:

Order Status: Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email.


edit:I think this might just be to avoid the 2-3 business day thing.... :-(
 
Just found out about this site, so cool!

I'm in the same boat, hubby ordered our phones on 5/9 and still waiting. I got so excited when I logged into check the order status this morning to see it was a different message than the 2-3 business day crap, only to see they just changed it to the inventory message, booooo!!!

I have'nt heard anyone getting their phone who ordered it on the 9th (I have one coming from that day, but I still have the same inventory message). In fact, I still think people who ordered them on the 8th are still waiting. I imagine it's just going to be next week before we see them shipped out.

You might want to cancel it if it doesn't come by the time that you leave because if you don't activate it by 2 weeks of it having been shipped, I believe you're billed for the rest of the price of the phone. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that
 
Yeah I ordered mine in store on the 8th and still waiting. When I called I was told it would ship by the 28th, but with the holiday it might not get to me until the 2nd or 3rd. Oh well, guess we just gotta be patient

You could always call and have them change the shipping address. I had this done because i'm away from home right now. So I'm having it shipped to my parents address instead. Maybe you can get it shipped to someone that you can trust and get it from them. Good luck!

No prob :). Appears that stock in the NE states at least are good. Hope the same for you.

Shipping is classified as Standard Overnight, which doesn't include Saturday shipping.
