Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

The saga...
Ordered my phone in store on 5/22 and was told it would ship by the 4th in time for my week-long business trip.

Yay!

Start reading this forum and begin to realize that might not happen after all.

Boo.

Call VW last week to get an update and they say it will ship by the 3rd.

Yay!

Call on the 4th after no shipping info and they say it will ship by the 5th (even though its a Saturday)

Yay?

30 minutes later the tech calls me back and says the 5/22's will ship by the 11th.

Boo.

Call yesterday and find I can change the shipping destination to my hotel.

Yay!

Get a shipping confirmation today at 11:30.

Frick yeah!

but it's being sent to my house.

Nooooooooooo!

Turns out it takes 24 hours for the message to get processed with FedEx for a destination change which means it will get processed by 2:00 this afternoon. According to VW, this might mean they process it properly even though it's been picked up. But it also might end up in FedEx limbo.

Crap.

I REALLY wanted to get on the plane with this thing.
 
What time do u guys think a june 1st order will come in from verizon? my ship date was june 22nd but thts the day im goin on vacation to florida so i was wonderin if it would come sooner than the 22nd or later. Also are the htc incredible orders coming faster, on time, or later than the ship by date?

unless you pay extra for a Saturday delivery, they do not ship on saturdays, as has been stated before in this thread. Their "shipping" days are business days, m-f.

Oh, this is good news. 5/23s getting their phones makes me a happy camper. 3 more days til us 5/26ers!!

Ordered online on the 22nd at 9 a.m.
Received my FedEx shipping notice this morning at 9 a.m.
Should have the phone by 3 p.m. tomorrow.
Online status still shows "Your order has been processed and will be shipped based on inventory availability and shipping method. You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email."

ordered in store 5/22, wasn't expecting an email or any kind of notification. Was told phone should ship by the 11th, phone is currently in ontario, Ca. I'm located in san jose, ca nothern cali to be exact. estimate delivery is tomorrow the 9th :D

LOL...well for starters everything I bought was after talking to people on these forums as well as other influences. So thanks to them for their help.

5/22 order here still and nothing yet.(wait just called verizon wireless)

Its On its way !!!!! no confirmation email. Its on its way to iowa from Memphis tn.

2 day service. I will have it the 10th WOOOOT.

It looks like there coming in a day or two in advance (also depends on your shipping speed)...I think you will be able to get the phone before you go on vacation.
 
Hey i noticed the nice sexy new black box, i wonder if that means less technical issues maybe they fixed the glitches like signal and battery with the black box phones, that would be a nice surprise
