I got an Incredible on the 29th of April. Due to issues, I called VZW on 5/27 to get a brand new replacement. Got notice yesterday that it's shipping out today. 
Just me but are ppl starting to get a bit loopy 'round here??? Quite entertaining and does aid in my time-passing attempts, so I thank you all.
Also, I think the basic economics of supply v demand was really working in VZW favor in the beginning of this shortage. Just before we get really angry, I mean REALLLY angry, they give us a shipping email.
Like teasing a dog w/ a ball:

It goes by regions. VZW is split into 5 regions and the waiting list for each region is independent of the others - almost like they are completely different companies. So, for example, if you live in Texas and bought the phone on 5/26, that a different list from someone in California who bought theirs on 5/27. So really... I would be more mad that VZW is sending ANY DIncs to Wirefly, Best Buy, etc. Bad Business.
There is probably some seriously nerdy guy hidden away in a cubicle somewhere in purchasing who has some massive Excel spreadsheet that supposedly predicts the demand and routes phones to in the 'proper amount' to the different regions. For the record, being a 5/26er from Houston, I hate the aforementioned nerdy guy.
Yeah that explains alot becuase I felt hope when the 5/27's were getting shipping info but I just called VZW CS and they told me it will ship 6/17. Although they upgraded me to overnight shipping so at least I should have it for the weekend.(This is good because I most likely would get fired at work by playing with my phone all day)

Trouble Just Finds Me!
All I can say is that as soon as I'm sure I can make the DInc function for me (remember it's my first touch screen) I am stomping on the damn BB battery. I have had to do more battery pulls in the past weekend than ever....it's like the phone knows I'm getting rid of it!

Should have gotten Sat. 12th but FedEx does not deliver to my area on Saturdays!
Have to wait till later today (6-14) to actually receive.
Plus side... was a ship by date of 6-15 so I'll still get it a little fast, but actually shipped 1/2 a week early. Come one doorbell, play your beautifully tech-promising sounds.

Word is bond. The last two weekends (for some reason it's worse on the weekend even though my use is the same) I've had to do four to six pulls per day on my Storm. And not even using the QuickPull program - it's physically pulling the battery since the screen is screwing up and not letting me press the buttons right. It's the main reason I'm upgrading; I got tired of data not loading, buttons not working and general nonsensical tomfoolery. And it's getting worse as I wait.
My 5/26 instore order ARRIVED!!! I think I may have ripped the box out of the FED EX ladies hand!
So now it sits...charging. I want to play with it but don't want to break it. Making sure it has a full charge before I do anything and also need to get a cheapo case for it until my Seido innocase comes in. My screen protector should arrive in today's mail! So while it is here, I am proceeding gently.
