Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I ordered mine from a VW store on 6-12 and was given a ship date of 7-9. Seems like the wait time is getting longer. I hope it ships sooner than that. Anyone order theirs around the same time and what is your ship date?


I ordered the day after you (6/13) online and my ship date is 7/12 :(
 
I ordered in Store on 5-31 and havent heard anything...oh yea my promise date is 6-21. I hope to be getting an email today or tomorrow.
 
I have been having a horrible experience and I need to vent about it a little bit. On 5/25, I placed an online order through Wirefly.com because they were selling the droid incredible for 149.99 and if you use bing cashback, you get an extra 50 dollars off, making the phone 99.99, half of what the price is if you order directly from Verizon. Initially, I had problems with customer support. I was always connected to someone in India who did not understand what I was trying to do. Ever. Seriously. I never found anyone to talk to that knew the answers to my questions during any of my phone calls to them. I brushed this off as I figured out the answers to my questions on my own and placed my order online. A few days later, I was e-mailed saying that they could not process my order until I paid my current balance with Verizon, and to reply to that e-mail when I had done so. After checking with Verizon, I realized I made a mistake when I made my last payment and owed them an additional $0.40. That 40 cents has made this whole ordeal miserable. When I realized I owed them 40 cents, I paid it then and there. Verizon received this payment 6/6, as stated when I called them and on their website. I replied to the e-mail I was sent from Wirefly, only to have it sent back to me saying the e-mail did not exist. I checked the address and it was fine. On 6/15, the 3 week mark, I e-mailed Wirefly. They told me that I still owed Verizon 40 cents. Verizon has assured me several times that they have received their payment, but Wirefly simply cannot understand this for some reason. If they e-mail/call me one more time saying that I still owe Verizon 40 cents, I am going to cancel my order and place a new one with Verizon, meaning I'll have to wait another 3 weeks or so.

Wirefly.com has decent prices but their customer service is atrocious. If you think there might be any small problem when making an order with them, do not place the order. If you think you can place an order with them without any problems, do not place the order. Basically, I do not recommend Wirefly at all and I really hope that I do not have to place another order and wait another 3-4 weeks.

Holy sh*t!! :eek: All this anguish over 40 cents?? That is beyond ridiculous! I'm really sorry you're having such a hard time over this. I think I'd have to cancel the order just on principle, however, I know it sucks having to wait an additional 3 weeks. This is awful for you! :(
 
Gonna cry now.....one of the guys at work has one. He just came over to gloat. I think I may have drooled on it a little.

Ha! Apparently there's an app called WikiSex. I didn't open it - yeah, he came back and let me play. I really just wanted to see if I'm going to have to cut my nails before I get the phone and I am.
 
As we've pointed out many many times throughout the thread - customer service doesn't have a clue. They've been hitting the ship by dates, and most of the time at least a day or two before then. BUT, check to make sure when your order was actually processed - we have seen people who ordered on one day and processed a day or two later which could mean the difference between 3 and 4 weeks of wait time. Otherwise - check this thread everyday, about every 5 or 10 minutes hoping that someone in your time frame posts so that you can do the happy dance that you'll be soon.

What they say is true! The phone is worth the wait - but I will still trade the bitch in if the next generation Droid (Shadow?) comes out in stores within my 30-day grace period....

Hi stalking stranger! Glad to hear you are not in jail and the fedex guy is ok (I guess - either that or he's buried in your yard).
next generation will not be for me unless HTC is putting out a phone too - I will NOT buy motorola. Too many issues in the past.
 
Hey guys, total noob here. If I ordered my Incredible in-store on 6/11, when should I expect final delivery? I'm thinking if I have an actual date in mind, it'll help me forget about the phone until then. :)

Unless you are a far better person than most of us in controlling your obsessive tendencies you won't forget about it. That being said - 6/11 I THINK was 7/9 ship by.
 
I miss you guys. The people in the other forum threads are boring and snarky.

And for a tip that I have discovered in my 2 days with the phone... Taskiller that I was using to try to save my battery life was actually draining it faster than when I uninstalled it.
