Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

i JUST got off the phone with a VZW rep. He sounded like he was drunk or high or something...

He said at first that on my account, it didnt say when i ordered it. hmmmm, right.
Then he said after I really started to nail into him and put me on hold, that it says that it will be shipped tomorrow (6/23 and i will receive the phone tomorrow, 6/23) I was reiterated what he said, and he said "Correct" - So i said, SAME DAY SHIPPING???? He said, you will get your phone tomorrow. I said okay and left it at that.

HOPE HAS COME FOR 6/2ER'S unless the jackass VZW rep was smoking monkey grass.

"Orders where payment was taken on 6/9 will ship by 6/30
Orders where payment was taken on 6/10 will ship by 7/8"

So why the sudden 8 day gap between shipping when all the other dates are a 3 week wait? Is it just because of the holiday weekend with the 4th of July?
 
Well, the working hours of the promised ship-by date (today 6/22) are officially over.

No tracking number, no email, no text, no nothing. I better get a car charger or something for this BS.

If I ignored a promise date such as... my monthly payment, for instance. You think Verizon is just gonna shrug it off??? Hell no. They'd be all over me trying to get their money, just like I should be all over them trying to get the phone they promised me when I slapped down 4 bills for it.

Well, when I ordered the shipping date was 7/8. Later that day I got an email saying 7/12. Then yesterday I got another email saying 7/15. When I called CS they said to just expect it between 7/8 and 7/15.
 
Well! I finally worked up the courage to try and make an account on here with my Dare 'cause I killed my 'puter. lol Bought my phone 06-03 at a mall corp store fos $285 (included red/black gradient case, car charger, and screen protectors!) with an insta-rebate! The seemingly nice manager fella PROMISED I`d get it with-in a week. but, wiser now I know that it should ship on the 24th!! Ive checked this thread every 30 minutes for the past two weeks! You`re all my heroes!!! I`m incredibly excited for my first smart phone
 
Thanks so much Nickreich for the VZW link, I ordered on-line 6/14, it says ship date 7/12, which is close to the day they said on website... Yup, beyond me how VZW could have "screwed the pooch" on this one...
 
Welcome to the group FFEMTBailey. Sorry about the pc. You will love a smart phone. I have the BB Storm. Even though it's extremly slow and clunky.. it's been fun. It's a good thing it's still working for it looks like it might take another couple of weeks before the dream replacement arrives.

Nah, earlier I posted saying my rep said 6/23 as the shipping date.

Hopefully we can get it before the weekend.

Thanks! I really am crazy excited! If I didn`t have Fallout 3, and Borderlands to keep me distracted I swear I`d go nuts! lol My mom has the Storm and I tinker with it alllllll the time, if the Incredible is even .05% better than the Storm it will be a hell of a step-up from the Dare!! but I know it'll be so much better!

I also found mine at Best Buy and am just wondering how you canceled your Incredible order. The woman I spoke with at Verizon said all I could do was refuse order when it came. What did you do? I am a 6/4 order with ship date of tomorrow and it's not on it's way yet.

Yeah...I think it's hysterical that my little pile of accessories will be waiting here for weeks until the phone gets here, when it's usually the other way around. ::laugh::
 
Remember guys, some people receive their Incredible without any kind of notification that it is on the way. So for those whose ship by date has passed and didn't get an email, make sure you have someone to answer the door during the day :)

I received all my accessories yesterday... cases, chargers, and Best Skins Ever screen protectors.... I'm totally prepared! And then I thought, "Dammit! No phone!" :mad:

It's almost like getting a nursery ready in time for the new baby to come home!

Haha, never thought of it that way, but it is so true.... However I just tried to use this justification with my wife to let me order some ahead of time, and of course, as smart as she is: You can use a phone without a case or screen, you CAN't have a baby without a crib or carseat etc. Haha, thanks anyways ;)
