Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

It's a wonder we're all keeping our sanity over this because it seems that each week starts out the same and turns into a vicious cycle...

Monday.... :D Perhaps my phone will ship this week!
Tuesday... :rolleyes: Cautiously optimistic
Wednesday :( Has anyone gotten their email notification?
Thursday... :confused: More Customer Service runaround
Friday....... :eek: What do you mean my Ship date has been pushed back??
Sat & Sun.. :mad: F**k!! Fedex usually doesn't deliver on the weekends!!

Then back to Monday.... (*sigh*)

Let's all hope today is the day of the "BIG" shipment! i was holding out hope my phone would ship today (6/5'r) but i think that has about a 5% chance of happening at this point. I'm a 6/25 ship date person. :confused:
 
It seems like there is a big gap from last week where all the 5/30 and 5/31 folks were getting their phones to this week's misinformation and CSR runarounds.

Are there still 6/1, 6/2, 6/3 folks who have not received shipping notices?

There were only a couple of people who had gotten their notices for 6/1 - I think we may have heard of 1 6/2 person getting it - nothing for the 6/3 yet!!!!

Hey Baby Blues! What is your estimated ship date? Today? Mine is tomorrow, however the CSR stated they might have enough supply to get mine out late today. However, I don't think I believe it.

My date is tomorrow also...but I would believe them when you have a tracking number in hand....

Yup - I'm supposed to ship today. I'm so hard up for the shipping notice I just changed the settings on my phone so that emails come in different than texts. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
 
I'm a 6/2. I've heard nothing yet.

I called them and they have no idea when the phones are going out. Unless they give you a tracking number, if you get promised a date it's because they are reading a sheet.

In addition, it sounds like they are several days behind right now, not just one day. So us 6/2-ers will likely not receive a phone this week.

They also have been terrible about following customer instructions. I wanted next-day, they are shipping two-day. I asked for an email, and even gave them my email, and they forgot to "check the box".

Do not trust anything they say unless you have evidence to back it up.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode about the car reservation. "You can take the reservation, but you can't keep the reservation...which is really the whole point of the reservation."
 
So I a m new to this thread and I am a 6/3er and just got off the phone with CS and he said I was part of the 2nd wave of back orders and that most likely it would be shipped out next week. So now it is looking like the 28th at best, for VA.

That sucks....but we have found out that you can get 4 different people and get 4 different dates....they really are clueless and at the mercy of HTC....
 
I've been reading this topic and forum since June 2nd and finally got my notice a day late. I've appreciated everyone else posting the below info so I thought the least I could do was do the same.

Location: SE Virginia
Number of Units Ordered: 1
Order Date: 6/2
Order Location: vzw.com
Est. Ship By Date: 6/23
Shipping to Business or Residence: Residence
Shipping Confirmation Email Date: 6/24
Date DiNC was Received: N/A
Spoke to Customer Service Rep: Several times throughout my wait, twice yesterday, and once just now.
Other Helpful Information:

When I spoke to the reps yesterday I was able to get one of them to confirm that if the phone ships past the promised date then it would be upgraded to overnight. I just got the confirmation and it's 2nd day and not overnight so it's likely that I won't get it until Monday. I called and complained and said that this is what I was trying to avoid and the CS Rep apologized profusely and said that there's nothing that can be done at this point. I asked him for a credit and he gave me $20. BTW, the rep today also confirmed that if an Inc ships late it gets upgraded to overnight.

Do you remember when you were a kid and you knew something good was happening but you didn't know when and your heart is in the base of your throat from over-excitement.......multiply that by about 1,000 and that's me today - I'm a freakin wreck....over a damn phone! And I won't see it till Monday at the earliest which is even worse cause I have Monday off and would have been able to spend the day playing with it but no, now I'm going to be even farther behind at work because we all know that I won't get much done Tuesday either. Lol.

Hey BB, you definitely have to keep us posted as we're on the edge of our seats with you! Makes us feel good to see one of our fellow hostages actually being a step closer to receiving the holy grail!! :p

I do remember...lol...feeling like that now and you are right....over a silly phone....my daughter thinks I have lost my mind....she keeps saying...."OH Mother you are CRAZY!....easy for her to say...she got her phone the day we upgraded...lol

I am a 6/2er, I woke up this morning and guess what the first thing on my mind was. I wonder what my tracking number is? so impatiently I called, yet again, to get the shipment paid/pending line from CS that fedex hasn't updated them with tracking numbers. Good news, at least I am alive. wishin I would have just kept my moto droid until i got the dinc..I hate this BB Curve.

looks to be a long weekend.
