wow, you almost got all the launch day issues with your phone.

im waiting for my replacement. i have full bars, press send for a call and all bars drop and call does not go through. occasionally i will have no bars and after pressing send, bars do show up and can actually make calls.
i hope the new device fixes this issue and i can get back to the verizon service i know and love

Wow over 95% so far the Droid X has to be one of the most successful android launchs so far!

What does the vibrant have that the x didn't have? Just curious.

It may not be "What does the Vibrant have that the X doesn't have? It may be what does the Vibrant not have that the X has?

Not everyone wants an overly complicated phone. Some just want a phone with some added features.

All the other galaxy X models aren't getting good reviews lets see how the big red does with theirs.

DX is a solid all-around phone. It is very, very configurable. With root? Unbeatable. It's going to be the reigning VZW phone until 4g comes to VZW, imo. That's saying a lot. Give it 2.2? Amazing. (I won't be updating to froyo until froyo's rooted, prolly. I love (and paid too much for) my root apps.) ;) :)

I've got 4 kids and travel a lot. I love the fact that I can toss any of my 720p mkv's on the Vibrant and go. No re-encoding or worrying about audio etc, it just works. The video out so far works much better as well, although I have not tested HDMI out on the Vibrant as I do not have the cable yet. The Screen performs better in direct sunlight, especially if it is light text on a dark background. Additionally, it is more useable one handed which is a big plus for me.

The Vibrant is just as feature rich as the X. In fact I can't think of 1 feature the X has that the Vibrant does not. I'd say neither is overly complicated.

None of them have gotten bad reviews that I have seen unless they are overly biased rants like Gizmodo's X review. I'd say the one thing everyone goes on about (the GPS) is a none issue for me as mine and my wife's works just fine.

Overall I liked my X, it's just the Vibrant fit my needs better.

I love my Droid X and have no regrets in purchasing this phone. Previously, I had been using Blackberry phones (the last one was a Storm 2). I would not go back to Blackberry if they paid me to take one.

I wasn't trying to claim the Vibrant has less features, I was just stating that sometimes when people post something like "Wasnt right for me" it's not about having more stuff. But is sometimes about having more stuff.

I think people get into this mindset where they think that everything has to have more, while as the opposite is more or less true.

Ahh, Sorry. I misread your post I think. Both of the phones honestly have features I could care less about and so if it were missing in one or the other it wouldn't sway me either way so I would say you are totally right in that regards. :D

The X is a keeper for me - but then again I always keep an upgrade available just in case I feel fickle. I also will never go back to Blackberry.

I love it. It's my first smartphone and I can't get enough of it. I wish there was a way to save certain setups--so you could just switch setups with the touch of a button, but oh well.

This is great stayed above 95% I think we have a solid device here! Mods I think you can close this thread now.
