daylight savings time is hell on battery!

After time change my bionic is using 10% an hour with no use, just idle. I rebooted twice just after time change. I sure hope this goes back to normal!

Lol...consider yourself lucky!

Mine uses about 20% without any usage..

That's even without daylight savings...

I have the extended battery and before today I could go 24 hours with battery to apare. At this rate I will get 10 hours max

Daylight Saving Time (no "s" at the end of Saving) hasn't just begun, it just ended. Maybe your phone is going through withdrawal?

Yeah, I'm experiencing the same excessive drain. Phone's been off the charger for an hour now, and the circle battery widget is already down to 98%.
Sorry, couldn't help it.

Mine has been off the charger since 5 am so about 3 hours 40 mins and still at 90% with light use.

bored so decided to post a pic :)

Mine always drains 10% an hour with NO USE!. I watched all those vids about how to conserve battery. I do them all and it still drains like this. When I turn 4g off and use 3g its about 6-8% an hour. still not good

The first 2 weeks I had this phone it was draining MAYBE 5% an hour with no use. Now it's easily 10%, sometimes 15%. Should I bring it back to Verizon and get a diff battery? It's the standard battery

I went to bed with about half a charge and awakened to a dead battery. That has never happened before. DST? That's strange.

I'm seeing no difference here. Phone has been off charger for 7 hours and I am at 85% per circle battery widget, running the extended battery. That's about the norm. That on 3G, running 2 weather widgets with my GPS enabled.

This was tweeted yesterday by Motorola:

@Motorola: Some users with Motorola smartphones on Android 2.3 may experience battery life issues after DST ends -- rebooting fixes the issue

Daylight Savings Time hasn't effected my phone at all. I'm just glad Daylight Savings Time has ended and I got an extra hour of drinking...err...sleep. I never liked the idea of Daylight Savings Time. We have light bulbs, so what's the point of Daylight Savings Time anyway. Daylight Savings Time...pffft.

I don't see how the time being changed can effect battery usage. I say BS and it's not related.

Hey lets all listen to SirEagle...he know everything!
not all Bionic phones are experiencing the same problems...chill! Moto even put out the statement that SOME may experience this type of problem.;)

Point; to keep children, who ride the buses, from being ran over by the extra hour drinkers :)

My phone drained to 75% in 3hrs of no use. No GPS or locations services on. This just started yesterday, and I rebooted yesterday.

this is new for me and I'm running 893.

Not sure what to do at this point.

Do I just do a factory reset and see if I still have the problem?

thoughts?

My phone has been perfectly fine. I even took the time out to laugh at those having problems because of the time change. This morning things have changed drastically took my phone off the charger this morning at 7 its now 9 and i have 15% or less battery with little to no use at all. Im running stock on my bionic. Wtf.

98%??? How are you folks getting your battery %'s in anything other than in 10% increments?
