Help Dead Desire

My Desire seems to have died right now.

It wont turn on all I get is a lit line at the top then nothing but the screen getting brighter, in a bleed in style, nothing visible, but it isn't good.

Any ideas or has my phone just imploded on me?

try holding voldown+power
does it got to hboot? can you read whats on the screen?

does it charge?

It charges, but I can't get to recovery what so ever.

I'm going to assume that what ever controls the screen output has died.

yeah, sounds like a warranty repair if there are no signes of physical damage or water damage (check the water triggers on the phone on battery and under battery connector on phone)
