We were all new to Android and these forums once, so please everyone show a little more patience. Also, post count means precisely zero here in terms of status. Someone with 4 posts to their name has just as much right to their opinion, provided it's expressed in a civil manner, as someone with 4000.

To newcomers.... welcome! Please take time to read and get a feel for a forum's "personality" before posting. This is a tight-knit community, many of whom have known each other for a long time, so bear in mind that some posts may not be all that they appear. You know what it's like when friends get together.... :)

Again...thanks for all the hard work, i can honestly say I check this thread and the one at XDA 4-5 times a day....LOL:D yes I am anxious.....just glad we got good people that KNOW what they are doing working on this for people like me who have NO clue how to do it....

I do the same over at our Dev Workplace, constantly google talking with the Devs as well, so I feel the pain in patience.

I have to say, this is one of the most pleasant forums out there, I'm coming from winmo and spent a lot of time at the PPCGeeks forums. I learned a lot there, but this place feels more freindly. I must say Thank You to the Devs for all thier hard work, and to all the freindly folks on here that just want to help each other. just putting in my 2 cents worth.

Yes, I agree.

One thing I really like about it here is the mix; there are a lot of different types of folks here, even by age range (I did an age poll a few weeks ago and was surprised to see ages from 12 to 70!) and by "geekiness," from dorks like me all the way to Supergeeks like Caddyman and OTD.
 
Anyone..... how can I get the green alien that pops up on the in call screen off or even change it............. I really dont like to see it??? Any help??????? Thanks
 
Cmon... we are all the same, some more knowledgeable but we all have the same goal. Being impatient won't root that eris faster. Let's not complain. Let's chill and it will come. I love lamp

i love that the mods take part in discussions. Other forums I've been apart of Mods just sit there and yell at people, Its good to know you guys are enthusiasts too

I second this. Im a newb fosho. Was just getting acclimated to being annoyed by winmo before i jumped ship. Regardless of any delays,or should i say very talented people living there lives while trying to make everyone elses life a bit more enjoyable on the side, im not looking back... only forward and these guys are the ones that will take us there. MUUUUCHO props for the time and effort you put into this with no thought of reward but the satisfaction of having one of the best phones on the market made better due to your efforts.

I don't believe in Mod. You guys keep following these rules people made up and try and get other people to follow them too. Oooooo, ban. No one wants to go to Ban. So follow the "rules."

Stupid conformists. I'll believe in Mod when I see him.
 
I know it doesn't contribute to the thread, but I did just want to say that I agree that it's great to have the moderators involved. Lets us know you guys are human too :)
 
I think I caught wind of an HTC event from Android Central on Twitter?

Hm. I wonder what's in the works? Today might be the day they finally TELL US SOMETHING. Like, for reals this time. Not this Q1 2010 bull plop.
