Root Dead thread.

But on a more serious note:
We are making progress and Devs have been working sporadically througout the weekend.
ARM shell code is proving to be more difficult than we thought, but we are working on that and have some more help because the Htc Tattoo have had the same fight.
So keep the faith, try and keep the "Venting" a little bit less profane, and thanks again for the patience and support :)

Not to me its one problem after another. God forbid u do more then one task at a time when I do I get lag out the ass. My speaker on my phone is raspy sounding as if it was busted. This is my second one where I think the proximity sensor was bad on first one there for my face would hit the screen and hang up on people. Sometimes Egypt typing I hit a letter and the screen thinks its being held down and puts whatever the secondary letter is. It's just a list that goes on and on

Also, too bad about having to vent using foul language. We all need to vent, but kids read in here and so do adults who can joke around, etc, but without having to have the forums take on the appearance of verbal sewage.

I went there to get droid but got this cause it seemed like better phone. And I think it could be but it just gets put on backburner cause of droid. I may be switching to a blackberry storm 2 ill just have to wait and c. I'd love an iPhone truthfully but ATT service is just beyond to crappy

Sounds like you may have gotten a dud, I would try to take it back. While my Eris is not as fast as my Droid I had shortly , I rarely expierence much lag.. I rutinely run Pandora, cruise the web and have multiple widgets all running and it handles it like a champ. Now there are those days where my Eris descides to be a little moody , but I notice if I just turn it off and back on and clear some cache it runs great again.

Now I feel it is kind of a bummer we have to do maintence on the phone , but really I don't mind taking 2 minutes out of my week to clear my cache and restart my phone.

I just wanna give acidbath and all of the devs that are working on root mad props... as far as the criticism is concerned... Be patient and quit whining please... as a person who works with programmers... it gets annoying... Remember these devs including acidbath himself want this just as bad as we do if not more... sooo shut it unless your gonna contribute... Thanks!:D

what is with all these n00bs coming from nowhere insulting other members in this thread? I'm pretty sure we did quite fine without the complaining and telling other members off. While you new kids on the block keep coming in here and yelling at people, be cautious. This is one of the most posted on threads in teh Eris forum, the mods are watching

up to this point i have stayed quiet ......

but i will say something now...... THANKS to you and all the other dev's working on it....

and BTW I really like my peice....heck of a lot nicer then my blackberry....

I just got my Eris lost Friday thanks to you guys.

I try and stay out of the "Pety" and trivial comments, but sometimes I cannot.
In this thread please do not call out "Newbs"! or slam them for being new.
If this was a common practice then none of us would of stuck around.
I myself am a "Newb" to this site, but I am far from new and am a senior member and large contributor elsewhere.
For example:
Caddyman is a well respected Super Senior member here.
But over on XDA he is a junior member with only a couple posts.
Does this mean when I see him over at XDA I should treat him with less respect?
NO.
For the sake of not furthering this any more i will not point out anyone specificly.
But please, everyone, take a second and think about posting beofre you do.
Is it constructive? Is it positive? Is it in good humor?

Thats all I have....these mondays are killing me!
