Debating on the extended battery. Please share your experience.

I've tested it myself and didn't see a difference. I have both the extended and regular battery and was switching back and forth until I settled on using the extended battery full time.

i LOVE my extended battery. yeah, it gives the phone a lot of extra weight, but with the amount of stuff i do on that phone, i have been getting 2+ days easy on a single charge. granted a lot of that time is on wifi, with gps off and the screen brightness lowered a little bit

Yes, the extended battery is enormous. Making this phone twice as thick as any phone I've had previously. Try to put a silicone case on it and it's even worse.
I'm a man. I have big hands. It fits ok and I wear loose pants so it's not unbearable.
Battery life, on the stock batt, I'd get to about 6pm and the phone would be dead. On the extended I've yet to see it below 50% when it goes on the charger at night.

So, in terms of function, the extended works: A+. In terms of form, it's ridiculously large compared to every other phone I've ever seen and what's currently on the market today: D-
Stock battery function : F
Stock battery form: B (still ain't the slimmest thing out there.)

As to the rest of the Rezound, I like it. IMHO the phone would be an A+ if it weren't for battery life.

So I am considering getting an external batt charger and just keeping the standard batt for a night out on the town. Then again, sometimes I don't make it home and it would be nice to still have my phone working in the AM.

Let's hope Seido cones out with a better battery but still stock size slim ......I do not mind at all carrying a extra stock battery ( or two ) and popping them in when needed - a much more pleasant experience in the pocket than a big old extended battery :)

I have a question. I've always heard things like it takes a few cycles for the phone to calibrate the battery/itself. So if you swap batteries, especially stock and extended, does the phone accurately display/calculate battery remaining? Does anyone see this as a possible issue?

Used GPS navigation for the first time on the Rezound yesterday. Have to say, this is where the extended batt really shined.

My DINC even with the extended batt would take a real hit running navigation. It was always a matter of getting myself close to the destination and then running nav. Or having it plugged in. Nav would trash a battery.

The Rezound w/ extended took it in stride. 45minutes of nav and at the end of the day when it went on the charger there was still 43% left.

I think that Moto is going to set the smartphone world on edge with the 3300mah Razor Maxx. I can only hope that it will be the wave of the future = putting real usage batteries in these awesome smartphones.

Will say, will not buy another Moto phone. IMHO their software sux. I spent 3 months with the Bionic trying to get the functionality out of it that the DINC had out of the box and was never successful. Even a simple thing like the alarm clock/timer/etc works tons better from Sense.

Decided against the extended battery and got a nice case as screen protector. I was up in the air about what I wanted to do. The battery last my work day and enough for calls at lunch and after. That is about all I need out of a phone. I can charge in the car on the way home if needed.

Folks, the extended battery is the ONLY way to use this phone. What a world of a difference it makes. Seriously, the extra 1000mAh of power makes this phone last so much longer. I keep everything on, Wifi, Bluetooth, Max Screen Brightness, 4G, and I never run out at the end of the day. In contrast, with the standard battery, at the end of just my shift, it would be down to 25%. With the extended battery, it's close to 60%, leaving plenty of power to use the phone for the rest of the day.

I tried the extended battery but made the phone TOO BIG and can't put a silicone case on it. So, I got a spare regular battery to swap out, and for some reason, the spare (normal sized replacement) battery seems to last much longer than the stock one!! Maybe b/c I charged it fully before 1st use, whereas the stock one was only partly juiced while the guys were setting it up in the store??

I get a full days worth with moderate use on one charge. I recharge every night, or early evening if I used it a lot during the day. Haven't had to swap during the day yet.
