Help Debranding My S2

I've found a fair few links and descriptions on how to do this, but all the links to the firmware to download have been taken down.

Basically, I want to debrand my phone so I can get my updates when Samsung releases them (through Kies) rather than when my carrier releases them.

Any help with this would be awesome

Just a FYI.... your deviceID will still determine whether an update is applicable or not. Debranding won't let you receive different updates via Kies, and will probably prevent you receiving those of your carrier too as the firmware version won't match.

Got it all debranded now.

I flashed it with generic xeu 2.3.3 then plugged it into kids after and that took me upto 2.3.4 so important still getting updates.

Important unsure whether those updates are the ones straight from Samsung though which was my reason for doing it, so i can get ics when Samsung release it rather than when the carrier does.

Is there any way to check it at all?

The CSC will tell you. If it's still XEU after the update then it's the generic firmware.

Does that now mean i will get the updates straight form samsung?
