Debug mode doesn't work on Galaxy S2

Hi,

I've got this Galaxy S2 phone and have turned on USB debugging in the settings. When I connect the phone to my macbook, only the usb mass storage icon appear. Does anyone have know why the debugging icon doesn't appear?

Hi, and welcome!

Have you tried disabling USB Debugging, rebooting the handset then re-enabling it? I know it sounds trite, but afaicr there's no way to disable the notification in a stock firmware so it may simply have become "confused" about its state.

Oh well, it was worth a try. Hopefully someone with a stock firmware will chime in soon and advise; I can't think of any setting that might have disabled it.
