Did you flash with or without dta2sd?
Perhaps a bad download...did you check the MD5?

Edit: here is the MD5 checksum

how does one go about finding that? i did 5 reboots and factory resets and now im in but it is S L O W and just doesnt seem right. The way you guys talk about Decks, I would have expected WAY more than this.

Go here and download the MD5 checksum file. I use this to check it

MD5 Checksum Calculator - CNET Download.com

Download the Decks rom to computer, at the download site for the rom, there is a MD5 number...copy that number.
Run the MD5 checksum file you downloaded earlier...search for the rom and select it...it should put the md5 of your download in a box...then paste the md5 from the download site and it will auto check to see if both numbers match...follow? You'll see what I'm talking about when you run that md5 program....

Edit: also, are you wiping good in recovery? Wipe all except sd card 3 times

I really dont want to have to deal with all that stuff. It looked like a super cool ROM as did the SOS. There's just too much stuff to those ROMs. Well, more than what I'm equpped to deal with.

o.k...that's fine:) ...perhaps a simple wipe again 3 times except sd card and a reflash would do it...

As long as you can get to bootloader/recovery you can always just restore a nandroid or reflash the ROM.

From the sounds of it, you may have missed some steps during the installation process. User error is probably 90% of issues that happen while flashing. Its happened to all of us at one time or another. :)Can you let us know what you did step by step?

I factory reset, wiped cache, data, and d-cache 3 times. Ran superwipe. Flashed Decks.

I went through the Aroma installer options and kept things as simple as I could. I dont understand or know what 90% of the available options are. That's probably a big part of my problem.

Bottom line for me, I like the regular HTC flip clock, I like my stock HTC keyboard, I like having HotSpot hacked, and I want a front facing camera that works. I also want to be able to send pics from my gallery while looking at them (ie. click menu and have the option to send, unlike MikG). I would also welcome an improved camera, something similar to my wifes Samsung.

just to make sure you can get into recovery right? what recovery do you have?

it could be a bad flash. it happens sometimes even on the best recovery. it cold also be a bad download as mikey suggested. this also happens even to me from time to time. please do not take this as a typical aosp issue.

all what you are looking for can be found for aosp. like the clock.....use beautiful widgets. deck's has its own tethering function. both cameras work. i can't say that it is better then a samsung, but it is pretty good.

if anything, Decks was way more than I would ever need. SOS was awesome too, just too much stuff for me to tweak. Decks looked REALLY cool as did SOS. I'm off tomorrow, maybe I'll try again..

Running something from Nocturnal from 'The List' :D

Sounds like you need to stick with a stock ROM. Maybe go with Capt.Throwback's stock ROM.
