Root deep sleep?

so it seems my phone is not going into a deep sleep at all. I flashed flex's ultrasmooth stock with the smartsync fix, and I'm running the dual core kernel. is anybody else seeing this? do you know if it's from the kernel or the smartsync fix? I'd really like my phone to deep sleep, but smartsync sucks...
 
I don't have either of these mods on the current setup. Dual core kills my battery life and I just haven't flashed a Rom with the sleep fix.

What tools are you using to determine that the phone is not sleeping?
 
cpu spy. also I fully charged my phone last night before bed and woke up to 33% battery and a solid bar under 'awake' in the battery settings.

I'm gonna try going back to the stock kernel and see if that fixes it, because I'm pretty sure the smartsync is only supposed to stop it from killing network connection overnight...
 
We had that problem sometimes on the OG EVO but this is the first I've heard of a wake lock on this device. Have you tried updating your prl/profile?

You might also want to download betterbatterystats to see what's keeping it awake
 
I know if I leave WiFi on at night it doesn't sleep. I will say it won't drain my battery like that though. That is a bad wake lock. It has to be a data hungry app, really hard to crush that much battery overnight.
